Question about the crate time. Am I correct that we just ignore - not tell her "noooo" or anything - when she whines? Would it be good to move her to another room when she whines? We have NEVER rewarded her with letting her out or speaking to her at this point and time. ![]() | |

| ![]() since the last post on 3/4..charlie had an accident last night in the kitchen. I was making lemonade and charlie was there with me. He was sniffing around..then all of a sudden ran to the living room. I happen to look down on the floor and there was a puddle on the floor. Of course, DH saw it and yelled at me for not watching charlie. ARgh. I need to start the 30 day of accident free training too. |

| ![]() Well, we might be getting the potty thing down, but not all the way yet. ![]() We thought she was on "empty" but she surprised us by running to the pad and going potty! Yay!! The poop thing is not even close yet, but it is easier to deal with - if you don't step in it! LOL Today, only one accident in our bedroom while I was making my bed. She had already gone at 2am, 5am and 7:30am, so I thought she was empty. ![]() Tracie and ![]() |

♥ Mama's Boy ♥ Donating Member | ![]() Tobie is potty trained but lately he has been pooping in the house in the morning. Daddy take him out before he lives for work, we live in an apt. on the 2nd floor, he will go pee and then he just runs up the stairs and is ready to go in. Well once daddy leaves for work he poops on the floor, I ask my boyfriend if he waitslong enough for Tobie go number 2 and he says he does but Tobie will just go up the stairs and even with his leash on he will just stand at the end of the steps waiting to go up. He has never done this before until about 2 weeks ago and I have no idea why he is starting to do this.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() We were doing so good! We were working on day 4, then she pood on DHs shoes (couldnt help but laughing!) But the ODDEST thing was, we went outside on our patio, she had her lovely dig fest... She had to tinkle, so she went INSIDE to her pee pee pad, and tinkled there ![]() ![]()

Thor's Human Donating Member | ![]() It's common for dogs to prefer to go indoors, particularly for #2 - it's a vulnerable position, and they often prefer a nice, quiet spot with some comfy carpet to squat on. Thor just marked the wall next to the potty pad. ![]()

| ![]() I find that it is the owner who gets potty trained first. They have such tiny little bladders. I have a 16 year old and I let her and the pup out about every 2 hours. Trouble is it is so cold out now they dred going out in the wind and snow. Night time is fine pup cuddles up and sleeps for 6 to 7 hours. AS THEY GROW SO DO THEIR BLADDERS. Some of the quiet dogs never bark or whine to go out. I fel it is a partnership and kenneling does work. The pea pads are halarious as chase him as he is shreading it to pieces.........fun times ahead! |

| ![]() I am still having problems with Abby messing in her crate!! ![]() I got up Monday morning to take her out and there it was....... a long poop on her blanket and a spot of pee!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Her crate is small. I am so frustrated and found myself in tears cleaning her crate. I hate to think that she is a "dirty" dog. ![]() I have never had this problem with any of the other Yorkies I had. I got her when she was 12 weeks old and the breeder did NO training what so ever. ![]() Does anyone else have a puppy this age that does this? |

| ![]() if you know where she is gonna pee or poo just put down an extra pad.. I have 2 14 week old pups and I have a corner in the living room with 6 pads in one square area. sometimes the male needs to walk around while doing his poo thing and it's better than having to clean up after them all the time. my female has dinglebrries too and the same goes for her, most of the time they fall off before she gets off the pads. HAVE FAITH.. I actually taught my BLIND 15 yr old to use the pads in about 3 days. she had very few mistakes unless she was facing the wrong direction when she sqwatted But she did have her fet on the pad but couldn't see where she waz standing. she could sense where the pads were. I have only had the male since 2/27 and he is progressing pretty well witht the poo and goes without even being told. so proud of him this past week... She is doing better evceryday and most always goes poo on the pad. Good Luck , they WILL learn what to do. The lady th Sharonat had the big house and new yard area, they DO have doggie doors for slider doors, ck on line for more info...Good Luck to ALL of you... |

| ![]() I have a couple of questions, maybe I just out of the loop since I didn't have a baby for a little over a yr and just got 2 puppies. But what is a DH?????? and where is all the info about marking and this 30day rule thing coming from???? I have had Yorkies for 32 yrs and haven't heard of the 30day thing. as for marking, that is something males do to mark their territory usually on the leg of something a bed table etc. even on the corner of a bedspread. Mine have done this when we have left them alone, but not a regular thing. I have done alot of reading on training your dog in 7 days, seems to be working for me pretty much. I never give the puppies run of the house, we have the doorways to other parts of the house blocked off. They need to be contained to keep an eye on them. They sleep together in a 24"crate but have free roam in the living room with us the rest of the time. they usually run to the area I have set up for them with 6 pad to do their business. I would appreciate someone PM to me with the DH? or other questions... Good Luck.. SHaron |

| ![]() We thought we were going to have a success day number 1, and then this evening she made a puddle on the carpet in my office, just after she got a treat for the pad, and then escaped when I opened the office door and when I saw what room she came out of, there was poo on the floor. ![]() On the up side, she went both wee and poo a few minutes ago on the pad! That is a first!! There is hope. Tracie and ![]() |

She seems to be soooo picky! If there are more than 3 spots, she wont go on the darned thing! But WONT go outside. She comes INSIDE, frantic while walking, comes inside, tinkles, then goes back out ![]() Ive noticed she only poos places when mad. DH wouldnt give her attention when she wanted it, so she turned around and immediately pood on his shoes!!! She did this to my son too, because he was dragging his blanket around and refused to touch her! So she pood on the blanket ![]()
