| Ginger has a cousin that is very stubborn. We can't teach her any tricks. We tried to teach her sit, but when we hold the treat over her head, she runs away. She's semi-potty trained, and barks at visitors. She's very skittish and shakes during car rides. She is held by her daddy all the time and he is afraid to leave her alone. How do you train a stubborn puppy?

| we use a cheap dollar store rug for him to go on right by the door... easy to wash in the tub and a good grip like outdoors ...most seem to do that watuzzi dance when they poop so the need the space to do that ... just an idea ...when Oliver was a pup he used to run around with those piddle pads thats when we got the rug idea ! |

| I have yet to get General Lee to poop on a pad! He is very good peeing on a pad and does not miss much. Now and then. When we first started to train him he got little treats when he went on the pad. He still does now and then as a reminder. He is now a little over a year. |

| I just got a yorkie pup a few weeks ago - Hayley is now 3 1/2 months old and weighs 2.0 lbs. She is very picky about the brand of pee pad she will use. I had one brand that she used fine, and then I found these new ones that are supposed to have a grass scent. But guess what?? She didn't want anything to do with those! So I had to go back to the first brand I was using and now she uses those. She is picky...very weird. She goes pee and poop on them. She doesn't usually miss when she pees, but once in awhile when she poops she misses by an inch or so, but hey, I am still proud because she knows where to go. Once in awhile she will pee on the carpet but that is rare. I am trying to get her to ding the bell on the door to let me know she needs to go outside, but so far no luck with that (it has only been a week). I think these tiny dog breeds are just hard to train....I guess we need patience.
