| Transitioning from peepee pads to outside Do any of you have any suggestions on the easiest way to transition a puppy of 5 mos from pads to outdoors? My puppy uses the pads 90% of the time and when we go outside, she occasionally will go but usually she wants to play outside and come in to potty. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Thank you for your help. I will try your suggestions. Part of my problem is that the breeder had the pads in the xpen at her home, so Lily went right to the pads here at the house, because I put up an xpen as well. Since she was using them, I took the xpen down because it took up so much room, but when I did, she didn't use the pads! So I put it back up. If I move the pad to the door, I'll try again to remove the pen. My problem is there is very little space and I would love to get rid of the pen. She has a crate she can go to when I am away. I'll keep working on it. Thanks again.

The fact that you are paying attention and actively trying to train puts you half way there. I don't call a puppy house trained until at least a year. You'll have a well trained companion before you know it. Good Luck!!!
