I seem to be having the same problem with my mothers yorkie. She actually just started doing this. probably within the past couple of weeks. She never used to bark at people or other dogs. But just this past sun. we went shopping at one of the local outdoor malls and pets are allowed and she was sooooo embarrasing. She always used to love any attention that people gave her and now she was just in barking mode! Everyone and anydog she came upon she barked at them non stop we ended up just going to one store because trying to walk her in a opposite direction and trying to get her attention wan just not working. what to do????

| Cooper is one and we have started a second round of puppy classes. It went very well the first time, but he has started to bark at other dogs. So, I signed up for another puppy course and the first class was a nightmare. He barked the whole time and had to wear a bandana to warn the other dogs that he was "nervous." But when we went to the second class, things were much better. He barked a few times at the beginning and settled down quickly. The teacher of the class said that the more exposure he gets to other dogs, the less barking I will have to deal with. I hope that will be the case!
