| How often do you feed? Do you free feed? I have found that by feeding twice a day (only!) at the same times every day, I have gotten my Maddie on a schedule. First thing in the a.m., outside to pee and poop. Then she eats. Supper is around 6:00 in the evening, then outside to poop. I think the best thing that helped us is I found a treat that she LOVED. They are a cheese flavored dog "cookie". Once I found out how much she loved these, the ONLY time she got them was after she pooped. I probably sounded like an idiot to my neighbors, when she pooped I got all excited and asked if she wanted a cookie. Once she figured that out, now as soon as she poops and we go inside, she runs to the cabinet where her "poop cookies" (as my kids refer to them!!!) are... I have also found that her food also makes a big difference in the number and size of her stools. I feed Natural Balance with some cooked ground turkey (about 2 tsp) mixed in for flavor. |

| Try to get her on a regular pooping schedule by feeding her at the same times everyday and no other time. Also, if she is doing this at night, crate her for sleeping. In the morning, let her out first thing, and then again about 30 min later. After that, every two to four hours. It will take some time re-training her to go outside, but stick with your schedule even when it doesn't seem like it's working. It could take 6 months! Good luck! Oh, and don't forget to praise like crazy when she goes in the right place.

| It's nearly impossible to house train them if they have run of the house. Their bad habits will continue the rest of their lives unless it isn't delt with once and for all. Go back to square one. Put her in an expen attached to the front of a wire crate. Attach a water bottle on the side of the pen and put a pee pad down. Take her outside every couple of hours to potty and play. Praise the potty like the dickens!!!!! It may take 6 months or even a year, but don't give in our up.

| Same with Bella She was a year old on September 29, and we have the same problem. She pees outside 99% of the time, occasional accident, but the poopie thing well. That another story. She gets it right 10% of the time. thank god her poopie is firm or I would cry. If I could find a snack she likes I would try the snack training thing, but she doesn't like any snacks at this point. Still love her to death though. |

| I started this a week ago and so far it is working. I use cheerios and he loves them, but I will only give it to him after he has pooped on the pad. Hopefully he doesn't get sick of them |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I found the only that worked was to crate train and to take them out every hour. Now my baby is three and fully trained. I no longer even have a need for the crate..woohoo |
