When ALL get an open wire crate sized for a Lab. Put everything in that and they will be safe as well as have plenty of exercise room. Safe toys, puppy pad and of course their favorite sleeping arrangement.

Don't forget to use food and water bowl clamps available at Petsmart. I use the ones for 1 gallon size but you can get smaller bowl clamps. Bowl sits inside the ring. Works wonders.

Oh my does this sound familiar. My 10 week old climbed out of his xpen. Scared the crap out of me. So once they do it they will continue. I bought a canvas pop out "tent we call it" with a zipper top. Got it online for about 39 bucks. It's actually made for dogs. It has been a life saver for him & me. It's big enough to walk around in. I put his crate in it. Now @ 11 months old he goes in it by himself. Every time I get ready to leave the house I fill his Kong & he runs right in it, zip the door and there we have it!
I didn't want to crate either, so this "tent" works great for us.
