| Sophie has been naughty again. I posted once before about Sophie chewing the trim on the doors. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/tra...-bad-girl.html Well this time she made a big place in the sheet rock by the door. Her Daddy went today and got her that really big crate at Walmart to put her in while we are gone. I hate to do it so bad but we just don't have a choice. I will let you all know how it goes.

| I think they the crate would be a good idea. At leaast you know she is safe whne you leave as you never know what she could chew. How old is Sophie as Alfie did a little chewing when he was a puppy ( just a little of the skirting board ) but he stopped after we used the spray and then he just grew out of it. Good luck

| Sophie is 3yrs old and never chews anything except when we are gone. Then she only chews the door like she is trying to get out. She is very attached and hates to be left. I got her the 42"L x 28"W x 31"H crate. It has enough room for her a bed, pee pad, and water bowl. She will have everything she needs. I have to admit I still hate the thought of leaving her in it for hours at a time but I don't really have a choice. I am usually never gone more than 4hrs. Iwill try and post pics of it when I can.

| chewing and scratching Generally has so far chewed and or scratched a hole in one wall of the kitchen, taken 2 pieces of base board off, one wood and one plastic and has left his mark on all of the kitchen furniture and corners. Crating him was to hard on me as he is left 9-10 hours 3 days a week. We went and bought him a folding metal dog pen at the local farming supply store. It is big enough for his pillow, food, water and roaming room, but keeps him away from the walls and furniture. This makes coming home a lot easier now as I can put on my tennis shoes while he is still in the pen to take him out. I don't have to worry about what the place looks like either. This pen can be hooked to another one to create a larger pen for outside. |

| Oh, my sweet Sophie. She misses you. She needs a little sister or brother to keep her company!! It really can make a big difference. Too bad we don't live closer...I'd babysit!!!

| It is hard to leave them. I also got a big crate for my little guy. He actually loves it! He hops right in and takes a nap when we leave.
