Generally has so far chewed and or scratched a hole in one wall of the kitchen, taken 2 pieces of base board off, one wood and one plastic and has left his mark on all of the kitchen furniture and corners. Crating him was to hard on me as he is left 9-10 hours 3 days a week. We went and bought him a folding metal dog pen at the local farming supply store. It is big enough for his pillow, food, water and roaming room, but keeps him away from the walls and furniture. This makes coming home a lot easier now as I can put on my tennis shoes while he is still in the pen to take him out. I don't have to worry about what the place looks like either. This pen can be hooked to another one to create a larger pen for outside.
