I think they the crate would be a good idea. At leaast you know she is safe whne you leave as you never know what she could chew. How old is Sophie as Alfie did a little chewing when he was a puppy ( just a little of the skirting board ) but he stopped after we used the spray and then he just grew out of it. Good luck
