| Can we do both??? Has anyone ever tried or had success with training their puppy/dog to potty both indoors and out. (ie inside pee pad at night or when we are away and outside at other times) Just wondering if it's ever been done |

| I do that and Teddi is fine with both. She uses the pad inside during the day but when I get home I let her out and she runs over to the grass and goes. She then comes in and eats and then I take her out again before we go to bed. I take her out again in the morning. When I come home from work there is usually one or two pees and one poop. I feed her when I am leaving for work and feed her again at night. She doesn't seem to have a problem with going both places.

| I wanted mine pad trained. It's so much easier when you travel, and on really cold or rainy days & nights and also when you can't always take them with you. They will potty outside as well. I think it's just instinct for them to do it outside. I never "trained" them to potty outside, but they do. Whenever I take them outside for a potty break I alway's say "lets go potty" and then open the door. If I don't take them out because I'm not home or it's raining, they automatically go on the pads. Works perfectly for us. |

| Yeah, Thanks guys. This will work out great for us. Right now she is 11 weeks old and we go outside during the day (I'm at home). We go out before bed and once during the night. Sometimes when its really wet day and night she has no problem going on the pads as well. So far, so good. |
