I do that and Teddi is fine with both. She uses the pad inside during the day but when I get home I let her out and she runs over to the grass and goes. She then comes in and eats and then I take her out again before we go to bed. I take her out again in the morning. When I come home from work there is usually one or two pees and one poop. I feed her when I am leaving for work and feed her again at night. She doesn't seem to have a problem with going both places.
