| Jekyl and Hyde temperament I have been bitten twice in a months time now, by WIdget....when she gets excited, whether it be from someone suddenly moving, or if she decides she wants someone to sit still she gets so aggravated she goes ballistic...she will get so angry she will bite me, while holding her and trying to console her.... 99% of the time she is docile and very controlled, I just don't understand why she acts like this occasionally.....plus it HURTS!!!!......any ideas???? |

| Oh my!!!! I know you are glad she is so sweet 99% of the time but I know you are troubled and puzzled why 1% of the time she is mean to you. I have no advise for you but I am sure someone on YT can give you some good advise. Hopefully, she will never bite you again!! I am sure that is very scary for you. Keep us posted.

| Rambo did this at 5 months.. he still nips at my ankles when he is hyper and wants to play. I either take the toy away and say no, or if he bites at me, I put him in time out. Don't let your baby do that, they will think its ok to do it to you and others..obviously.. Ignore the hyper behaivor if possible. OR take your yorkie for a long walk or throw a toy in the hall.. that is the only way I can wind down mine.. Good Luck, Crys |

| Scooby does this all the time and Bandit used to at 5 months but I puta stop to it by holding his muzzle gently and firmly telling NO and he has stopped mouthing, but scooby is 6 months and still is doign it matter of fact I am somewhat nervous to even put my hand in his crate to remove the feeding bowl or take things from him as he snaps very much and growls. Bandit has learnt that I can even put my hands in his mouth while he eats and I have no fears with him. |

| Oh my goodness can I relate......Cooper is now 1 1/2 yrs old and until the last 4 months or so was the most loving wonderful companion we could ask for.....but now we call him Cujo (lol). When he was about 14 months he began getting aggressive only when he had something he shouldnt and we went to take it...he would snap and bite....we then taught him to drop it and trade for treats. Now he has progressed to attacking when he is startled or when he thinks you are trying to take something from him, and sometimes even when you are moving from the couch and have to move him also to get up. Just like you the other 99% of the time he is the most loving dog ever...but it makes me so mad and sad and I have even thought we might have to get rid of him if it continues as we have a new baby (neice) coming in the family and I worry about it constantly. I'm at a loss....we have done time outs, no bite, etc and he listens very well to all other commands...so I feel your pain and wish I had the magic answer. |

| Sarge did this while he was "puppy biting" while we were playing and he got all riled up. When we're playing and I have to go do something else he chomp down on my pants and gets dragged (not literally) behind me. I used clap my hands loudly if he was nipping and say "That's Enough". It startles him enough to know its not exceptable. And now when we're finished playing i only have to say "that's enough" and he'll stop.
