Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Some dogs don't like the squeakers. Our Yorkie is a rescue we've had 2 yrs and still doesn't give a hoot about toys.

| Moshe really only wants to play with his brush. It's very frustrating! I go to groom him and all he wants to do is play with the silly brush. I can't distract him with anything else ( he could care less) but something about that wooden brush drives him bonkers. He gets sideways about it! I did get him a Kong and filled it with the puppy stuff and he liked it (until he got the stuff out, the he was bored again). All he really wants to do is play with his humans.

| Teddie isn't much on squeekers, he hates the sound of them and runs away. But he does have a gorilla that when squeezed says, "I love you!" He adores that baby and carries it around with him. He'll even growl at the other dogs if they try to take his baby... We also bought him a child's teething ball...a little hard plastic ball with teether nubs on it, he loves to chew on that and get his puppy teething soothed by it. I guess some dogs are just different in what attracts them.

| None of mine are rescues..but they are adults..and do not care about toys. They like a nylabone or chewy sometimes...but they like to do what I do...sun on the porch, watch TV, ride in the car, shop, eat, nap, ride in the stroller for walks, visit friends, watch me do what ever I do...and they love new beds and coverlets...a new dress or carrier. |

| TicTac only likes one toy, a little stuffing less stringie frog. It does squeek and used to frighten her. Now she loves it. Mostly she's indifferent about toys, but loves to sneek into my mom's bedroom in the morning while she puts on her sockies. She taught Tic to play with her feet/sockies. Now when I try to put my socks on she tries (sometimes wins) to steal my sock and run down the hall with it. I swear I can hear her giggle as she takes off running!

| Mine aren't crazy over toys but will play a little with them. I usually buy 2 of what-ever I buy and no matter what one wants what the other has. Josie loves the squeeker toys she gets mad wants the squeeker out. Jack he may play a little or try to get Josie's but he would rather play with me. He likes to play chase. LOL |

| Time and a lazer light...Elvis was here a year-before he every played with anything I thought he was too dignified, snobby or too much of a lap dog just not his personality. I missed so much! One day Dad brought home a flash light with a lazer light on it so much better than the cheesy dog lazers we had before Elvis jumped up and went after it like nothing I've seen...since he's began to play with some stuffies...apparently it was new to him got his curiosity and he had become comfortable enough to be a dog. I adopted him by means of I purchased him from a breeder as a re-homed dog he is almost 10 pounds too large for her "breeding program"...well after he arrived and things became clear about his condition and previous life, I really consider him in so many ways a rescue; just different from my pound adopted pup mills puppy.

| My Salty lived for about 12 years and he only had one toy. It was an orange stuffed cat about the size of him! He drug that thing everywhere through the years, pulled out its stuffing, its fur, and pulled both of its ears and eyes off. Its nose was gone and its tail was hanging by a thread. He would sleep with it, shake it viciously, hump it, play fetch with it. That toy was his everything. I sewed that thing up countless times and crafted new ears for it once. Even though Salty is gone we still have his cat in my Mom's closet. When I was a little girl I really wanted an orange kitten. One year for Christmas I was told I would be getting one. Instead, I got a stuffed orange cat. I cried behind the Christmas tree and gave it to Salty. It was his ever since, lol. Maybe your puppy will find a toy that it becomes attached to like Salty did. Who knows? |

| Zoey (RIP) never like toys she could sometime carry a small cat toy but never played without them. Buddy, my rescued Golden, never had a toy before I got him. Squeaky toys still freak him out a little. He loves small toys (cat toys and finger puppets), fleecy rope toys, and his tennis ball now. With time your's and he will come around
