Answer I am looking for a new home for her because I just don't have the time anymore to properly attend to her. I can tell she is getting upset and sad when I leave...but I am constantly out of the house or when I'm at home, I am frantically getting ready our second baby to come. My husband and I both juggling out time between his grandmother who is suffering from liver cancer and has 2 months left to live...and my father who has been suffering with non-hodgkins lymphoma. They are both extremely ill and we have to pitch in as much as possible in terms of care, driving to and from the hospital....grocery shopping...shovelling the driveway...and just for company. Our dog is unfortunately not in the forefront of our thoughts as we are struggling with various misfortunes right now. An example would be this week...Friday my father went to the hospital due to excessive bleeding in his bowels (I know...quite graphic)...Saturday...my grandfather had to be taken to the hospital.....and then Sunday...I had to help my sister move back into my parent's house because she is going through a separation and possible divorce....and then today, I just found out that both my dad and my grandfather has been taken to the hospital. I will most likely be going home...walking Elbow...feeding her and then going straight to see my dad and grandfather. The best thing for elbow is a new home...I know she doesn't deserve this..so I think it is best for us to let her go.

Best of Luck! I am so sorry to hear about your misfortunes and the challenges you are having with your family members. Being a part of the sandwich generation is difficult, at best!! Your commitment to your Yorkie is admirable, finding her a new home!! I will certainly keep my ears open, and if I hear of anyone I will pass the message on. I know since getting my Fletcher, some people have said they would love to get a Yorkie. Blessings for a peaceful season ahead, don't forget to take care of yourself!! Kim

Fidelo Yes I did after much thought and careful consideration. I searched for a small dog in my area for almost 2 years while in contact with Ellen during that time (and she was extremely patient with me and all my e-mails) as I didn't believe I was going to have to travel that far to get a puppy to love. Even though I only work 5 minutes from home and go home EVERY lunch hour and my husband drops in every mid morning and mid afternoon and we are homeboddies at night, I couldn't get a Pure Breed Breeder to sell me a dog since I wasn't home ALL day. I liked the look of the Yorkies but was afraid of the smallness of the Yorkie Breed and wanted something a bit bigger, so thought a Yorkie mix would be the perfect answer, although it appears Buddy is going to stay small and I wouldn't trade him for the world - he's the perfect size. Ellen was truly wonderful I and have nothing but high praise for her and her kennel.

hello fellow Canadians! My name is Tracy and my puppy's name is Parker. We live in Smiths Falls, Ontario, which is close to Ottawa. Parker is a Morkie (yorkie and maltese), he is almost 8 months, and he is 6 1/2 pounds. When I got him at 8wks he only had a bit of white(maltese) on his tummy and the rest of him was black and brown. Now, his face and top of his head is white and his back is getting grey roots! So I have no idea what he's going to end up looking like! But he's still a cutie either way!!!! Well it is good to meet some Canadian yorkie owners, there aren't too many other yorkies here in this small town. Does anybody know how much it is to neuter a yorkie? My vet priced me at $169 +tax, but that seemed a little high to me, for 6 1/2 pounds? Any advice? Thanks, Tracy & Parker
