Member Near Ottawa I am a new member-and have been reading a lot longer than posting. I have a 3.5 year old Yorkie, Kia, and am looking for a playmate for her. She sees only one other dog, (larage), on a semi-regular basis, and it will not play with her. I am hoping to find a dog that is being re-homed, as I cannot afford to purchase one, although I would gladly cover spaying or neutering. I also have a chronic illness, and Kia keeps me going-although she is glad to cuddle up with me on the sofa or bed as necessary! I live rurally, so she also enjoys walking through fields and bush, and rides in the bike basket! |
I paid almost 400 for Oscar's neuter - mind you, it was a cryptorchid neuter (one of his testicals did not descend so they had to make an incision in his abdomen as well and retrieve it from under his bladder) so this surgery is more expensive. I think anywhere up to $200 is standard pricing in Canada... |

Hey fellow canucks...I'm in Toronto, on the east side. I just found this Canadian page - the regional sites are not the easiest to spot from the home page! I don't have my furbaby yet but I'm talking with a breeder near Peterborough who's expecting a litter next week. Hopefully I'll have an extra special "from-me-to-me" gift under the tree this xmas! Would love to meet other yorkie parents once I have my baby @ home! :animal36 |
Hi I am from Newfoundland.....Just wondering if there is anyone on here from Newfoundland??? I have a 16 month old Yorkie.....Her Name Is Izzy |
Hi There, We live in Essex. My brother lives in TO and he has a little Yorkie too. You will be so HAPPY then you bring your little pup home. |
I am from downtown Toronto and I see a lot of people on YorkieTalk from downtown Toronto as well. Maybe one day we could plan a day out in the park with all the Yorkies. My baby boy is 13 weeks old. |

Welcome YorkieDork! :yorkietal Love the name you chose for your little guy. My bichon's name was Oliver, he was the love of my life but sadly passed away earlier this year. Now I can't wait for more puppy love from my little yorkie! :animal-pa |
I take Mya out, I bundle her up. I just made her a new coat with hood out of "velvet" wool. She is very funny in the snow. She jumps in it and so curious to see it move so she hops around like a bunny. I bundle her up in her blanket when she comes back in. She is never out very long and I keep her ears covered. |

I'd love to see a picture of that! So cute! :D ~Marly |

Hi, my name is Debra, and I live in Inverness, Highland Scotland. My family is from Canada. My Mum was born in Alberta, and her family is all around there. We have relatives near Toronto and Vancoover, and loads of other places ! On my Scottish Dad's side, he has Canadian relatives too, though he and my mum didn't meet over in Canada, but here, after my mum had to emigrate here as a teenager as her Scottish dad was dying. All my gran's 10 other brothers and sisters and all their families are in Canada. Their farm in the prairies is now covered in oil platforms. I have three Yorkies and counting ! TARA WILL BE SEVEN THIS YEAR. (pic left) CASPER WILL BE FIVE THIS YEAR. TAMMY WILL BE FOUR THIS YEAR. Tammy is hopefully pregnant to Casper....their first and last litter. She is on day 28 and is looking more and more like she is pregnant. (I hope) I would like to keep a wee girlie, and I have retirees near me who are waiting for a pup if she has any. I would think she would only have 2-3 at most for a first litter. MY FINGERS ARE ALL CROSSED ! Hi to everyone on this forum ! :D Will have some pictures soon.....had to wipe computer the other day....there are pics of my three on other posts though. :animal-pa DEBRA x x x x |
