Hi Izzie's mom and Diego :) Izzie'm mom it sounds like you live within blocks of me  Shiela and I like the small park on Jarvis by the church. We have the same vet too! The Animal Clinic may be a tad pricey but they are very good. Heh, I think we met on Mutual a week ago but I forgot your email :( Shiela would love another yorkie to play with :aimeeyork If that was you, pm me and maybe Shiela and Izzie can have a play session? :happyboun If that wasn't you, sorry! but still welcome to yorkie talk :) As far as the question earlier in this thread about the daycare and puppies. The puppies are seperate until a week after their second shots and ALL the dogs have to have their current shots. Socializing at a young age has so many benifits and if you're carefull the risks are very minimal. ok, I think that's my record for most smileys in one post... |
1 Attachment(s) Hi , My name is Steve and my little boy's name is Gazou . I am from Montreal . |
Air travel with my Yorkie Quote:
In reply to your question about travelling with your Yorkie...I took mine from Montreal to Las Vegas. She was pretty calm, but I kept her with me (I didn't send her with the luggages, as you have to with larger dog). I had a Sherpa carrier, and Air Canada allowed me to take her on my lap during the flight. It was a great experience. She slept during most of the trip. Have a nice trip! Sophie Montreal, Quebec |
Hi Sophie: They let you keep her on your lap? out of the carrier? I heard you had to keep them in the carrier under the seat in front of you.... |

Hello from the GTA 4 Attachment(s) Hi I am Cyn (Cynthia) from Brampton, Ontario. My yorkie Mya was born Feb 17th. We picked up our bundle of joy April 27th. She has already enriched our lives in so many ways. She does not have any small dogs to play with. Our other Dog Comic is 13 years old and very good with her but of course is not as active. Our cat Emily(16yrs) lets Mya sleep beside her but it not interested when Mya shoves a toy in her face...lol My likes all kinds of animals and has befriended a young cat next door. I can't get over how smart she is. She knows her toys, is 98% house trained, comes, sits, stays, knows the command "don't touch" and is not yappy. I would like to enroll her as a Therapy Dog. We have to wait until she is a year old for that. I think she would be good at that because she is not afraid of anyone or anything. I think that is because we take her with us to places, even the dentist. I am happy to of found this Canadian section ! |
Awww, Mya's adorable :) |
Greetings too from Owen Sound Ontario!!! Cassie and I say Hi. |

Hi Gazou: Were in Canada do you live? I would love to know when there is a show in Ontario, I have no plans to show Fletcher, but would love to educate myself and get to know others who know Yorkies. Do you have any suggestions, websites or other, to find out where and when there may be a dog show in this area? Again, thanks for the great welcome! Kim |
I am from Montreal , Quebec . The show season is finish for 2005 . If you want , I will give you the dates of shows in your area when I'll receive the schedule . |
That would be great!!! Thanks Kim |

Second can you not fly her on board. I am taking my girl to B.C. in January and she is booked on board. She will fly under the seat in her kennel/ bag. Not a chance would I fly her under the plane unless I was in the kennel with her. She would freak out and me too. Also around christmas they band them flying under as the cargo room is so full they could get hurt. So best check if you can get her on underneath anyway. Also if she goes no board make sure you are there even earlier as they tend to say only two animals on board a flight at a time. All though I have seen a few more then that on board at Christmas time. It is only $40.00 with West jet either on the plane in cabin or under in the belly. In the winter it can get cold under in the belly of the plane if it hangs around on the runway long. Joy |
