Order on line from canada ehh! all you Canadians out there! Where is everybody? Rambo and I are new members and we're from TECUMSEH,Ontario. That is just outside WINDSOR. Rambo is 4 mos and weighs 2 lbs 9oz. He just had surgery to have pieces of a pacifier removed. I want to know if there is anywhere in Canada we can order dog items on line from? |

I hope that Rambo is recovering ok from his surgery... How scary! |

As for the ears thing, I don't do that myself. I actually bring them to a groomer in the Tecumseh area (near Manning & Cty Rd 42) called Wendy's Doggy Doo's and she takes care of that for me. They go every six weeks and she charges $35 each... Sorry, I'm not much help on that for you. |
Hello everyone. I am in Niagara Falls with my yorkies Lola and Sophie. Anyone know of any good online yorkie shopping here in Canada?:) |
I am in Belleville, ON, with my Yorkie family! I am fairly new to YT, but it sure is a wealth of information! Love it! And I love to have "friends" to share my news with, even in the middle of the night! |

Hello everyone. I am from Windsor, Nova Scotia and I keep company with my female Yorkie "Teah" who is three and my female Biewer "FeeBee" who is one year old. We will be in Niagara Falls next weekend for the NAKC show. :) |
Here is a big hello from Celia and I. We are in Mississauga, Ont. Celia is 5 months old, she came to us from a breeder in Toronto 6 weeks ago. She is very tiny and a picky eater, weighs 1.300kg. Tomorrow she will be getting her rabbies shot and we are not looking forward it. A week ago after receiving her Lepto booster she was lethargic all day, she hates going to the vet, and...I hate taking her. We love this little one soooooooooooooooo much! |
Wow, there are lots of us here! :D We're located just northwest of Toronto, Ontario - and like many others, I'm still navigating my about this wonderful forum. syllie - hope all went well w/Celia's shot! ~Susan |
I don't do Lepto on my little babies. Hope the rabies shot went okay. :) |
Hey Canadians Yorkies mom and dads! It's been a long time since the last post...November? Hope that means that all is well with the babies and yourselves! Happy New year! Since I last posted, our baby Celia has been spayed, microchipped and passed her first obedience course (now attending intermediate, so much fun). We are certainly relieved to have survived lepto, spaying, laser, microchip and all that stuff. We seem to have a little problem with anal glands! Oh, boy, for such a cutsy girl, do we ever smell!!! Celia's hair on her head is already a mess, only after 4 weeks since her first visit to the groomer. She is getting ready for a trip south and we were hoping to stretch the anal gland and grooming closer to the end of January...but we are a mess, hee, hee, hee! I read it is better to express the gland as soon as possible before the fluid thickens, any comments/opinions? Happy New Year! Celia and Syllie (her mom) |
Hi Syllie, Happy New Year to you & Celia too! I love your question!! Am looking forward to responces!! I talked to my vet about it- shes a hollistic vet here in the Dundas/Burlington area. I havent had any issues with that for a while. She said she would show me how to do it myself....I just dont know if I could do it. :( As for the messy hair thing....I hear you....My poor Zoe had a bad haircut about a year ago & I am still in the process of growing it out. Everytime I bring her to a groomer- they always cut her front hair & give her bangs & I continue to ask them to leave them alone...but to no avail. So I refuse to go to a groomer until she has them long enoughnor until someone can recommend a Yorkie groomer to me. I use to live in the Mississauga area....great city!! Love your Mayor! Take Care Zoe & Penny(Zoes Mom):animal-pa |

new to YT Hi everyone I am from Woodstock, Ont. Just joined this morning. My little guy is 9 months old, weighs 4.7 pounds. I bought him in July when he was 12 weeks old. He has grown a bit! He can do a few tricks, sit, stay, shake, sit pretty, roll over, take a bow, & "drop it" (when he eats stuff he shouldn't ) I think he is just adorable. Try not to spoil him, but it is hard!!! Oh...his name is Dezi. The pictures of your Yorkies, that I have seen so far, are all adorable (but then, what Yorkie isn't) :p Glad to be here & read all the interesting info |
Oh, it's so nice to see so many local people! :) :) I know this is the Eastern Canada thread (and this isn't related to that) but since you're talking about anal glands... a question... how often do you need to have the glands expressed? Bella usually goes to the groomer every 4-6 weeks (sometimes 8 weeks - depends on how shaggy she gets, what season it is, if we have any special events for which she has to look especially lovely)... and I've never even thought about glands being a problem. I'm just curious... how long can one go without expressing them? (You'd think after having little ones for over 20 years, I'd know this!) (Geesh, that was a long winded reply/question.) Anyway, welcome Eastern Canada newcomers. We're glad to have you aboard! :) ~Susan |
Newbies to Yorkietalk.com Hi All, I have a great 18 month year old named Tito. He was named after Tito Santana An wreslter from the WWE in the 80's. Tito is quwick, agilse, smart, curagous and an amazing companion. I rescued Tito from a puppy mill in montreal. He had an open phontonel. You sould never tell he was born with a hole in his head by the way he is. He love to play with any and all kinds dogs and cats. He is a God sent. He has helped me and my family come closer together. |
