| Happy Summer everyone Hello, I missed this Thread when it was posted. It is a wonderful idea to suggest this to administration. Did anyone ever suggest it? It would be very nice to help people from being ripped off & hurt from dishonest breeders/people. Places like Yorkietalk can be very nice and helpful when people can talk about things. I wish I had found Yorkietalk and other helpful places before buying my puppies. it was not until after I had been ripped of from 3 different breeders, I posted does anyone know this breeder_______?? Then people started contacting me they had also been riped off or were thinking about buying. It is alway a joy to meet nice honest people, to see pictures of their pets and to share with one another. I did after searching the internat and chatting and going to the Dog Shows getting to know some wonderful breeders who love & care for their pets and care for them better then some people love & care for their own families, and are HONEST! | Omg I can't believe how nice that website is and they sell sick puppies... How terrible!!!! Mine isn't no where or no way like that and I would be sick to death selling someone a sick puppy... I waited 2.5 years before I bred my dogs and everytime they had a tummy ache...LOL I was at the vet.... I am really kinda over board on the vet thing... but I want healthy babies...so didn't even break even or close on my first litter...you might as well say I sold two happy puppies basically given them a way..... I'm a mess. I feel so bad about your baby... Please report them...and I will pass it on...

| Bad Breeder in Stroud, OK I have joined this forum recently because I have purchased a Yorkie for our family that is wonderful. However, we also purchased one from a different breeder for Grandma as a Mother's Day present. We purchased this puppy from Leslee Mitchell in Stroud, OK. Before purchasing the puppy we discussed many things with Leslee. She informed us the parents are AKC registered but that she does not register the litter AKC to prevent breeders from buying the puppies, she would like to see them go to good families. We also insisted on seeing the parents before we buy the puppy. She was very hesitant but finally said if we must see them we need to drive out to Stroud. So, we drove to Stroud and thought everything looked good but she had the mom, dad, and puppies bathed and kept in a play fence on the driveway away from the house. We were told the puppies were home-raised and that the mom and dad do live with her, we also got a health guarantee from her in an email message but nothing else was ever signed or stated before purchasing puppy. (We found the ad in the Daily Oklahoman) Within the 24 hrs. of bringing the puppy home we brought her to the vet to be checked out and were notified that she had Coccidia parasites and Patellar Luxation (Genetic knee disorder). I called Leslee Mitchell immediately to notify her that we were not wanting to purchase a puppy with parasites or a Genetic Knee disorder and we would like a refund. Leslee was very crude, unprofessional, and irrational. She immediately told us we could bring the puppy back but we would definitely not get a refund and that she did not have the puppy checked by a vet herself. Her "policy", that was never stated before or signed on, was that she replaces does not refund. I then told her we did not want a replacement puppy (littermate) that would more than likely be infested with Coccidia as well and that after doing some research I found several articles stating that any puppy, littermate, or parents that are diagnosed with Patellar Luxation should not be breed. Yet, she feels it is a better deal to replace the puppy whenever the dogs should have another litter. I refused to make Grandma wait on another puppy or give this one back in hopes she may or may not replace me with a puppy who will probably have the same conditions. I am doing everything in my power to spread the word about this breeder to prevent this from happening to other families. Also, she has a website called http://lesleeslittleluvables.com/...I found this website after all this happened and found out she also breeds Boston Terriers and Chihuahua's. - which she advertises on NextDayPets.com. All the Chihuahua's and Boston Terriers are AKC registered, vet checked, and with a health guarantee (including the littermates of the Yorkie I bought). I had asked her why the Yorkie I bought is any different than all the other puppies she had vet checked and AKC registered. My feeling, she knew the puppy's condition and sold it to us like that anyway without informing us anything. She never did reply to that question. I also cannot believe we never got any indication that she has a "puppy ranch" on that property. So please, DO NOT BUY FROM LESLEE MITCHELL" Thank you! Sincerely, atchdca |

| Hello I am so sorry for you. I thank you for taking the time to share this with us. If we can continue to share with everyone about the puppy mills and people that are not only hurting us and our families and the poor unhealthy puppies & dogs it will help everyone. If you have your receipt's & statements you can take them to small claims court the judge would look at your documents and in most cases grant them to pay your money back. It takes time but nice to make a point. You can also contact your police department and file a complaint. You can contact Animal Control and report the sick uncared for pets and maybe they can get some help also. Again I am so sorry for you. Good luck and please keep posting everywhere you can to help others. Respectively Hogdog |

| It Continues.... Thank you all for your support and sympathy! Unfotunately, it continues....Leslee Mitchell had me served with papers this morning. The cost of the puppy was $800, we paid her $600 in cash and $200 in a personal check. After dealing with Leslee the day we found out the puppy was unhealthy I cancelled the personal check for $200.00 since she would not give us a refund. So, she is now suing us for that $200 check we did a stop payment on and additional costs to pay for her other dogs to be checked out by a veterinarian. Then, she wants expenses paid for some expert witness to show up at court. I have no idea why should would want an expert witness and what it would be for? So far, I contacted every website I know of that she advertises all her puppies on, the local newspaper that we saw the ad in, and sent a breeder complaint packet full of all my correspondance with her as well as the vet report to all of the following: Attorney General of Oklahoma, Puppy Mills, The Humane Society of the United States, Department of Agriculture – Oklahoma, and the Better Business Bureau of Oklahoma. I just sent this in the mail on Monday, so hopefully something will come out of this. Anyway, it is all in the hands of our attorney now and all we can do is wait. Wish us luck! Thanks again, atchdca |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GOOD LUCK fighting that breeder ...and maybe do your own thread in this section sharing your experiences ?? It helps to say what state they're in - their website and the way they treated you all in one thread so people looking for breeders can see it....I don't understand how a breeder can sell puppies without vet care - that's soooooooooooooo sad ! |

I am so puzzled as to why people think they can cheat and swindle people like this one has done - This certainly gives "breeders" a black eye - of course this really is not a "Breeder" but only another one of those blasted PUPPY MILLS in a different form - I hope the OP gets her money all back and that this puppy mill gets run out of business.

| Hello, Good Luck! I will you the very best! You will do just fine. Just take all your proof and receipts and document's from your vet, have your vet if possible or someone from the vets office go to court with you and any one that can state something for you. If you have any written document try to get them motorized. Make your list short and to the point. File a complaint with your police department. Take your complaint number with you. IF you paid white a post money order contact your post office and file a complant. That will be the US Government they were / are messing with. Good Luck Hot dog |

| Update - Bad Breeder in Stroud, OK (Leslee Mitchell) Yes, she even gave me a couple references before I purchased the puppy and they never did respond to my emails. I did send these references information on how this situation is being handled, in case they are real references and in hopes they do not refer this breeder again. I was somewhat disappointed when Nextdaypets.com who has all her listings posted informed me that they will not do anything because I did not purchase the puppy from their website ad. Lycos, on the other hand has been amazing. I reported each listing as fraud and they are in the process of removing her listings as soon as possible and gave me the following helpful hint: Dear Elizabeth Atchley, Thanks for contacting the Lycos Classifieds' customer support desk at Oodle. We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I read about those diseases and I became very angry. I have already taken steps to remove the listing from our search results page as soon as possible. These kinds of crimes are considered to be federal and since you have lost money, we recommend that you report the lost to the Internet Crime Complaint Center: Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Home So, I filed a complaint and I am still anxiously waiting to hear a response on the packets I mailed out Thursday, July 3rd from the Attorney General of Oklahoma, Puppy Mills, The Humane Society of the United States, Department of Agriculture – Oklahoma, and the Better Business Bureau of Oklahoma. I also filed a complaint on ripoffreport.com and sent an email to Amanda Taylor with News 9. Hopefully, all this will come through and give us a helping hand! |

| Good for you If you paid with a US Postal Money Order you can file a complaint with the Post Master the US Government also contact the police deptment for the county where they live. I wish you the very best, you would think these rip off breeders would give us our money they owe us to shut us up but instead they tell lies about the people they have ripped off trying to make them self look better. It only takes time for the world to find out when people like you and I and others share with the world about the puppy mills and rip off breeders that bate and switch people. Good Luck |

| www.yorkiebabydolls.com OMG!!! I can't believe I just found this thread!!!! I started to post about this back around the first of this year. I bought my Bucky from her!!!! I wrote a novel of a thread and lost it when I hit submit. I tried to rewrite but the train of thought was gone. So here I go again.... In Oct. 18, 2007 I asked about a male that she had listed on her website. I did not realize that she had a puppy mill. I am so gullible. Here is her response: Hi, Gracy's male is available & sooo gorgeous with the baby face, shorter legs, larger eyes, stand up ears & he is looking for a good loving home. This little guy is a good baby with a very loving personality & I believe he would like to be a lap baby if someone had time with him. I hold my babies a lot & they love it but right now I have a few little ones so it is hard to give each one the attention they need. He still weighs 1 lb 4 ozs so he should be one tiny little guy, probably only reaching 2 1/2 to 3 lbs & yes, with the shipping of $275 it will come to a total of $1975. You will need to send a deposit to hold him because I have 2 other people e-mailing me about this little boy & will not be able to hold him for you if one of them sends first. God bless & keep you, Lorane I also paid her another $200 on top of that for full breeding rights. I got SCREWED!! I paid way too much for him, a wooping $2175!! I know I am the stupid one who sent her the money, but I thought she was reputable. I got him off of the plane and he seemed healthy enough, but I took him to the vet to get check out anyway. Thank goodness he was healthy! I absolutely could not believe that she did not call me to see if he got here okay. I had to call her. I just wanted to let her know that he arrived safe. She said that she would be emailing me his shot records and sending his papers ASAP. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from her. I tried to call and she would not answer. I am starting to feel like I did a bad deal with this lady. I had not gotten a shot record or his papers!!! Now it is mid-December and she has a little girl listed on her site for $5000. So I decided to leave her a message that my sister is interested in the little girl if our transaction goes smoothly. She must have seen the dollar signs cause she finally called me back. She gave me excuses about email problems, phone problems and being out of town. She said that she email me the shot records a number of different times and that she had responded back to my numerous emails. Yeah right!!! So I finally get an email from her on the shots with 3 dates and 3 shots. NO HARD COPY OF A SHOT RECORD!!! And she claims that the papers must have gotten lost in the mail, but “luckily I have an extra from a male puppy I lost in the litter” OMG!!!! How is that LUCKY????? Who says stuff like that??? I am hoping she just didn’t send them in the first place and was lying about loosing a puppy to save face. I am beginning to just pray that Bucky stays healthy and I get his papers from this lady!!! A week or so later the arrive in the mail, the AKC papers, marked LIMITED REGISTRATION!!!! OMG AGAIN!!! I gave this lady $200 for full registration. I tried to call her, left messages and emailed about this and once again I could not reach her. I am so fed up with her by now I contacted AKC directly about this. Thank goodness I kept all of my email correspondences with her. (Something in my gut said that they might come in handy and they sure did.) I printed those off and proceeded to write the AKC to get the FULL Registration I paid for. I did not buy Bucky with the intent to breed him, but I did want that option if I changed my mind. So after months of correspondence with the AKC, I finally got Bucky’s papers back March 08 (5 months later) with full registration. So to sum it all up, she is not what she claims!!! Bucky is now 5 lbs., not the 2 ½ she said he would be. She tried to get to me with the AKC papers, I still am unsure about his shot record and I think she lied to me about his birthday. And I paid WAY TOO MUCH FOR HIM!! But I did get very lucky that my spoiled one and only little boy is healthy, so far and I love him to pieces!!! So beware to anyone considering to buy from her. I GOT VERY LUCKY!!

| Hello Which breeder was this? I am glad he was healthy and that you did get a Yorkie for your money and after 5 months your papers. That is one great thing about AKC they make sure to help people when the rip off breeders try to pull fast one. It is to bad he is 5 lbs not 2-3 as she told you. Lucky he wasn't 10 or 15 lbs as some are. Have a great day |
