Thank you! I didn't want to ruin this breeders reputation, but I feel she has ruined it herself.

My husband tried to work things out with her. She got nasty.

My motives in hurting Judy?

My motive in posting a review was to prevent anyone from buying a puppy from her, and ending up with a puppy like mine.

I have MS...and it has progressed to the point from all of the stress over Maxwell's condition, that I am confined to bed. And the nerve pain in my spine is unbearable.

I also have Lymphoctytic Colitis, and I have been on the Mayo Clinic's protocol, since last December. The final medication my G.I. could prescribe, ws just beginning to work, but all ot the stress caused it to stop. So, we have an appt. with our Attorney on Wednesday, to draft my Living Trust & DNR upon my G.I. Doctors advice, before I have surgery, after the 1st of the year.

Do you really think I would risk my soul, posting lies????

Judy and I spoke for a very long time. She knew I had MS, and I told her about the way my tiny Kia died so suddenly in my hands.

Judy actually came out to our Jeep, the 1st trip we made down to Lanesville and helped Rich walk me up the gravel and up the stairs to her boarding kennel office.

She and I exchanged many e-mails, saying we were going to be forever friends, but that all changed after she offered to take Maxwell back, and Rich convinced me it would be best, and he e-mailed her and acknowledged that her contract stated replacement puppy, but he asked her for a refund.

Then, her true personality came out. I've posted her response to him, but her friend doesn't believe that Judy wrote it, because of the poor punctuation.

A lot of people read this...perspective buyers and breeders alike. I would think, if she was innocent in all of this and she felt her character was being defamed, she would want to defend her name and reputation. Your name is everything as a breeder and I would think she would want to share her side of the story.

I know you are saying that nobody knows Judy or her side of the story....but she's welcome to come here and tell it. Perhaps then, we can understand why she does what she does. So far...all she's done is come on here and confirm what Shelia already told us...which is Judy is only willing to swap out Max.


There are always 2 sides to the story.

Judy refused my husbands request for a refund, and he didn't even ask her to reimburse us for Max's medical expenses.

The YTCA and AKC are definitely getting copies. And even though Judy has never so much as asked about Maxwell, after we told her about his diagnosis, she will get copies, as well.

For what it's worth, Judy appears to have honored the terms of her contract. Now that something has gone wrong we have a buyer wanting to change the terms of the contract after the fact.
Personally, I would buy back the puppy, AND likely reimburse the vet fees AFTER confirming the conditions treated indeed existed. I don't like the "you keep the puppy and get your money back" system as too much temptation for fraud. My contract says "full refund upon return of the puppy." I've made exceptions based on the customer's willingness to work WITH me and not remarkably AGAINST me. Don't worry, any puppy coming back would be given the best of care!

By the way, if you don't like my terms, don't buy my puppy!

I agree with this also no breeder should be expected to buy back and let a person keep their puppy but if a it is a defect in the breeders lines I feel they should be willing to pay the vet bills up to the cost of the puppy. I don't think anyone here thinks anyone should expect a breeder to give a free puppy away.
