♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | As concretgirl said Tanisha has signed your book and listed you as a friend...if untrue perhaps you need to check your site and remove that post...bc of that post you are being lumped with a known 'bad breeder'...There have been many posts about her...I'm sure you can see where we are coming from with this association.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think she means a soft or cotton coated Yorkie, it's pure black instead of what they call "blue". Silk coated Yorkies have a metallic shine to their coats that is not pure black.

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Sorry if I sound naive, but i have never seen a black and tan or black and gold yorkie...more so I have seen the dark grey colour, with gold or tan...never black as the dominant colour, AKC papers? I'm almost positive that's not what the standard calls for. Are you breeding to improve the breed? I'm of the understanding that is what one should be breeding for. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.

| I'm beginning to think I will never understand this...Miss Mini is definitely silvery and her coat could not grow straight and long its kind of fluff when grown out, so what is she? Mia my Biewer baby has a total different coat that I could let grow long, if I wanted...

By the wayk, even good breeders might have a pure black dog in their breeding program, and it could be silky. They use it just in case the blue gets too light, this will help them obtain the coveted dark blue. However, contrary to what yorkiesdaycare says, “ . . . we as Yorkie lover look for different looks, no one seams to like the look of the black but I find them pretty same go for all the color.” It’s not because they want to get “different looks”, or they find the black pretty. A good breeder breeds TO standard, they don’t breed for “different looks” or even to their own individual preferences. When they breed a black Yorkie, they aren’t trying to produce black yorkies, they are trying to produce the darker blue, so they are still breeding TO standard.

There is an old saying...'we are judged by the company we keep'...my grandmother told me that many years ago...in other words choose your friends and who you associate with wisely. There are some truly wonderful, knowledgeable people here. I for one find it curious that this woman's name turned up on your site...you should know that certain topics will garner heated opinions...that's the way of the world. I dont understand your statement..'It's a shame that all the good people on here is less than the other'. I'm not asking you to go on and on...just trying to understand you.

| Welcome Joann, I'm glad you stopped by to explain a few things. It always helps to hear the breeders side of things. I thought you were going out of business because that's what Natalie posted under the pictures of the two females she had listed on her site that are yours. She's removed them since this thread started. Also, according to the past dog page, you've purchased 6 of her dogs for breeding purposes. Those are the ones that have your name on them. I hope you read the Natalie thread and saw that some of her lines are having genetic problems and will keep this in consideration. Also I'm sure you know some of her "practices" since you've dealt with her. They are not honorable. I guess some of the back lash here is because you purchased very small dogs for the sole purpose of breeding to make money. Sometimes an uninformed buyer doesn't know better but a breeder definitely should.

Very good post, additionally Tanisha Breton removed the litter of pups she was selling "for a friend" Joann yesterday afternoon....I'm sorry but there are so many connections and I find it odd that you keep "linking" to those sorts, ie...Natalie and Tanisha. Even without that, based on your previous website (very recent updates not inluded) Your breeding practices leave alot to be desired, IMHO. As an educated Puppy Owner I would not do a purchase with you and I would not advise others to do so either. As an uneducated person (not so long ago) I would be saying...awwww look how cute her puppies are.....Maybe Joann, you can stick around and learn some things. There are many, many, people here and many excellent breeders as well. The people here share their knowledge freely, owners share their desires, you will meet people from all over the consumer and breeding world....Good Luck.

| Tanisha Brenton/Tanisha Smith...I think there a few more names she uses a lot if complaints. There's quite a few threads about her on here...mostly buyers of sick pups complaint threads, a few mad breeders over dogs from her. A more notable issue over her fundraising for her vet bills over a sick pup she bred. Ya know the one listed on your guest book she has a couple sites listing she runs the Michigan Yorkie meet up group...the associated FB page. Anyone have her links?
