So the breeder was covered because she put in writing that she would not guarantee a dog that left at an early age. Sorry, but the way I see it, that's not something to celebrate or brag about. It only seems to reinforce the claims some have made against her breeding ethics.

Just because one is legally right, doesn't necessarily make them ethically right.

Besides if the breeder didn't let the puppy go at such a young age, no matter how much a buyer "insisted" a contract wouldn't have been necessary to cover this. JMO

I won't comment on this breeder, but I do agree with this statement. Whatever is in a contract will generally hold up in a court of law. They rarely take in account ethics and morality. That's just not the way our legal system works. That is good AND bad.

That is some nerve for them to come on here and claim they have the results of your case and they aren't you.

The decision When we went to court, we sued Ms. Ledbetter for breech of contract. The judge in this case did and endrun around the law of contract. What is really sad is he reduce the purchase of C.J. to the likeness of purchasing a used car, "As Is". As far as C.J.'s age as said in court whether he was 9 weeks or 16 weeks he would have still had the heart murmur and luxating pattellas and no way a good stud prospect. In Regards to Lindy' he totally ignored the facts of the case, the facts being Ms. Ledbetter contacted me as to the sale of Lovely of New Deal, gave me her information, I researched the original breeder, agreed to purchase the daughter of Rock and Gold Turbo of New Deal, Per Ms. Ledbetters contract and my cancelled check, I put a deposit on Lovely of New Deal on 4-4-2009. When my husband arrived at Ms. Ledbetter house, "Lindy" was bathed and in her house clearly separated from the other dogs, even when we walked through the kennel, the only dog Ms. Ledbetter got out of the dog runs to show us was "Charmer", C.J.'s father and the boy "Lindy was suppose to be bred to, I was in no way able to "pick out" any dog as the Judge stated and Ms. Ledbetter purgered. Per the tattoo in the girl's ear that I have, I have dog called Heoine of New Deal and the contracts states I purchased Lovely of New Deal, that is fact. What happened to us was really no surprise, Ms Ledbetters husband is an attorney which, ironically she pointed out to me when working on Lindy contract in my presents, her attorney's office is across the street from the court house, we got, "homered" or "Hometowned". My advise, BUYER BEWARE!!

Apology A lot of times people come on here and tell of their experience with a breeder, recieve harsh comments then mostly out of fear of being lable a troublemaker or whatever, they get back on here and apologize to the breeder. I will NOT be doing that, I stand behind every word, I have ever posted about Ms. Lebetter and T.J's Yorkies, her kennel however, I do feel I have let a lot of people down so I would like to apologize. First, to my husband, who stood behind me and even though he knew this could happen, cheered me on and supported me through it in everyway. Also to those of you who have e-mailed or PM'd me with your negative experience with Ms. Ledbetter, I took all of you with me in spirit hoping in away to get you a bit of justice and peace as well, I apologize for not being able to accomplish this, and last but not least all of you on YT who endured the drama, thank you for your patients and understanding.
