| Dont buy from these people. Puppies for Sale by Still Kennel We bought our puppy from these people only to find out that he was the product of inbreeding a brother and sister. These people raise several breeds of dogs in tiny little cages and it is what I would discribe as a puppy mill. Please buyer beware! And they are not akc they are ckc. | Still Kennels is a well known puppy mill. They are on the USDA "puppymill" list: http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/ListA2006.pdf I wish people would check the list before buying a puppy. |

| This is so sad. Now I know why the best breeders sell their dogs on limited registration instead of full. |

| So far he is very healthy and beautiful but we were told he would be 5 to 7 lbs and he is now 5 months old and only 2lbs 6 oz so we worry about him. He does have a cough (not kennel) so our vet is keeping an eye on his trachea. It is just so very sad to go to a place like that and see those poor little babies. We love our little guy but I hate to see anyone else duped by these unscrupulous people. |

I just get so frustrated that these puppymills continue to stay in business because people keep buying puppies from them. | |

| I tried but unfortunately where they live has no animal control. I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Attorney General, and The Local police dept. Only other thing I know to do is keep finding where they post for sale and writing bad reviews. If all of you could go to the site and say you know of someone who bought from them , what they are and that they practice inbreeding of brothers and sisters etc. Maybe they wont be able to sell many from that site anyway |

| Since Still Kennels is a USDA licensed commercial kennel, it is regulated by the USDA which enforces the Animal Welfare Act. The AWA has very basic standards of care regarding food, water, cage space, etc. There are no requirements for health testing, genetic screening, etc. which is why so many puppy mill puppies have serious health problems as they get older. If Still is compliant with the AWA, they are operating legally. If you suspect they are not, you can file a complaint with the USDA and have them investigated. Here's how: Complaint |

| Have you watched the news about these places in Missouri? I did call the usda but they say they are in compliance. But their last inspection was 3 years ago. The state it seems has so many they cant keep up with them. I am doing all I know to do. She sells 5 other breeds and has over 200 dogs in 3 teeny little buildings I dont know how she gets by with it Last edited by nanahas3; 03-21-2009 at 11:59 AM. |
