| Ultimate Puppies Thank you so much for your concern. I love this Puppy so much. She is now a part of our Family. I am so upset I fell for the Beautiful Web Site this Breeder has. I was so sure she was on the up and up. I guess we live and learn. Hopefully I can encourage others not to do the same thing I did. In the meantime, my Puppy is my main concern. Thanks again..Maxi85 |

| OMG I can't believe how close I came to buying a puppy from these people!! I even inquired about one of their puppies but the puppy was sold. I remember checking out the website further and seeing all the different breeds they were selling and I was turned off. Thank goodness!

might not know them ''personally'' but I do know this, I purchased a sick dog from them and they did nothing except ignore me. not only that , the dog requested from the web page was not the dog delivered. so instead of defending the halpains, you should have some compassion on the people that were scammed, Me personally , the puppy I received was dirty , matted had an infection in his lungs. we are still nursing him back to health, Oh and if starmye sends you a sick puppy she had no intension on reimbursing the vet bills... that's wrong!... when her web page guarantees you a healthy puppy., when you do business with someone you should do right by them if you are not delivering what was promised. as far as I concerned they are money hungry crooks that don't care about the welfare of the puppies or the people. this is going by'' my experience. sorry but i was scammed | |

| luvryorkies: I understand your need to defend your friend. However, the question seems to lie with customer satisfaction. So you know people who have had good experiences with her; that's great. But a truly good breeder, IMO, is determined by how a bad experience is handled, and apparently the person complaining had a bad experience and is being ignored. However friendly she may be, she is not handling this situation well. I don't think anyone blithely seeks to destroy a breeder's reputation; those who complain generally have legitimate concerns and are not getting a satisfactory response, so they simply are trying to protect others from having a bad experience. If this breeder is a truly good breeder and human being, she will work with this buyer to rectify the situation, not simply ignore her concerns and refuse good customer service. |

| Sammy08 Just wrote you a long letter and then lost it somehow. I picked me Puppy up from the Airport on Friday May 9th. Couldn't get a Vet. Appt till Monday may12th. It has been all downhill from there. My Puppy has a Heart Murmur. She had a Virus and Kennel Cough. She was on so many medication's for that. It gets worse..Her stool sample tested positive for Giardia. She was on three different medications for that because we couldn't get rid of it. She was suppose to be Spayed last week, but it was postponed because she was back at the Vet's for IV fluids due to Dehydration cause by constant Diarrhea form this Giardia. I got no where with Ultimate puppie's because like you I was told she would have to talk to the Husband. The Husband threatened me. Believe me, thay won't do anything for you. And why would you want to send the Puppy back only to get another sick one? They are all from the same Kennel. I am sure they are probably all sick. I feel I saved my Puppy from a life of Hell just like you did. And just a message to lUVYORKIES OR WHOEVER YOU ARE. You don't know what you are talking about. I have dealt with these people for month's. Don't you think it is kind of funny many people on this site have had the same experience? Do your Homework. Sammy, please have the Vet. check your puppy for Giardia. Maxi85 |

| I am so sorry for all that you have been through, my heart goes out to you, she told me the same line, that she would have to speak to her husband, that's a common way for her to avoid her responsibility. right now Sammy he is being treated for an infection in his lungs, we will have to bring him back to the vet in 2 weeks , thank you I will ask the vet to check him for Guardia. I don't want her to send me anther sick puppy, I have already grown attached to Sammy and I love him, but honestly, I just laid my yorkie(alfie) of 2 years down he was sick with pancretitus (don't know the spelling) and spent over 4000.oo in vet bills and he didn't get better, the vet told me that he was very sick and we probably wouldn't see an improvement so we made the choice to put him to sleep. it broke my heart, financially I cant care for another sick dog. I am not working right now. I hope and pray to see an improvement. I will not send him back. I cant imagine them nursing sick puppies back to health. I will make one more attempt will her and then I will have to look into my legal options. I pray your pooch gets better, she is blessed to have you! Last edited by sammy08; 08-11-2008 at 05:55 AM. |

| Hi everyone, I'm yet another person who found Yorkie Talk by googling Starmye Halpain. Some two years ago, I helped my house mate search for a Yorkie puppy; both of us fell in love with the perfect facade that is their website. Living in California, we decided to skip the hassle of flying all the way down to Oklahoma just to check on the puppy. After all, the hundreds or so positive testimonials posted on their website can't be wrong, right? How young and naive we were. Sure, the puppy was adorable. Sure, he never did bark... I'm not even sure if that's a good thing. But oh, the hyper little furball had such separation anxiety and never failed to leaves gifts on every possible corner of the house. Over time, we drifted apart as friends, and it is only through a common friend that I heard that the dog had died due to some digestive system related health problems. I don't know the specific details of it, but she was grieved enough to immediately buy another Yorkie and gave him the same name. A part of me felt sorry for her, but somehow I give the Halpains the benefit of the doubt as I didn't know what exactly happened to her Yorkie. Needless to say, my initial resolution to boycott them is often swayed by how precious their puppies look and how affordable they are. I can't help checking their website every now and then just to ogle at the cute little dogs. It wasn't until I came across YT and saw three separate threads of warning on the Halpain family, and the posts by gingerslovesella, luvryorkies that in gist fervently defends the Halpains. Be it when they're posing as an inquiring buyer (who created an account just for this thread and never posted again ever since) or one of their friends claiming that their farm is a top notch breeding ground (same case with the account). I mean, even if you don't know anything about dogs, how honest and genuine could someone be if they had the audacity to create fake accounts in order to defend themselves. That's mistake numero uno in terms of forum integrity. I know, I sound like I jumped into conclusion but hey, who am I supposed to fear? More random new accounts? Now that I'm (slightly ) older and wiser, I noticed that not only do they have multiple breeds, they have never updated their dams and sires photo page, their warranty scantly covers anything for a maximum of 6 months at which point the puppies wouldn't even have reached their adult stage, and upon contacting them as an "interested buyer" (hey, they're not the only ones that can pose, y'know), more red flags arose. For example, a puppy that was listed to be "lively and energetic" on Puppyfind.com is suddenly the mellow puppy (I know, ain't that an oxymoron?) I asked for. Also, back in January, a female puppy named Laci was listed as having champion bloodline on Puppyfind.com whereas her two other male litter mates, Luke and Lew (listed as having the same dam and sire on their website) weren't. Upon confronting the matter, i received the following rubbish: She is out of champion bloodlines but not parents. Her mom was shown in a couple of shows and won both of them. We did not get to finish showing her because she was going to have these babies. She is an awesome dog with the nicest and thickest hair coat. The boys are her brothers and have the same bloodline. Thanks, Robert Please, please, please, would someone who knows how to request a USDA inspection / any other form of reporting them do something about them? |

| I am so thankful that I didn't get a puppy from her. First time I saw her puppies I feel in love with one of her puppies. I was going to put a deposit on it but I decided to wait and ask a few more question. Simple questions too! She never replied after a few emails. She didnt' even tell me she sold the puppy until I saw it on her web page! I was really upset but I decided to look pass that and give her another shot cause her puppies looked so adorable. After a month or so waiting for her to post up new puppies I decided to look her up and. . . . boy am I glad I did so. I found all these bad stuff and I found this website. She needs to stop breeding! Shes selling sick dogs to people! |
