Hopefully if this bill becomes law, the breeder in question will no longer sell puppies in Michigan.

| I do want to clarify that Ellie was not a sick puppy whatsoever and her liver issues may not be related to breeding at all. We don't know right now. We do not know if her bile acids were up when she was younger.

You always have to read those really carefully too. They are not broad based to encompass all situations. I know the one in NY state is only applicable during the first 14 days you own the puppy.

There are also import laws with requirements for bringing animals into the state, age (eight weeks), vaccinations, etc. I hope she has checked to make sure she is in compliance with them.

| I have had Stormy for two weeks tomorrow. From my understanding she has been active and jumping on couches all her life and Brenda has never had a problem. My couch isn't even very high, my shihtzu which was 3 lbs would jump off the couch and he was never hurt, it really is a low couch. That is the only piece of furniture she jumps off, she doesn't jump on the bed or off it, the door is usually closed. But from what I know is that luxating patella is genetic or if they were hurt young. This is what the vet told me and what I have learned from speaking to a couple who breeds yorkies around my area. Im really hoping this is a sprain if she did jump and just landed on her foot wrong, I don't know, I know it isn't broken unless it would be a hair line fracture but I just don't know she has been fine til now. |

| ElleMae, have you contacted the breeder to try and get them to pay for the medical cost? |

| I don't know what state you live in, but, i am in the same situation and live in CA. You don't have to give the puppy back; according to the CA's puppy lemon law; you have three options, one of which is to keep the puppy and get reimbursements for all medical related expenses to the congenital defect, which PL is. here's the link to the CA law Dog-Play: Getting a Dog Tips - California's Puppy Lemon Law |

| I think Elliemay bought Ellie back in 02 so I think that it may be to long of a time to get anything back now. I actually have tried to contact Brenda to tell her about my findings with my dog and about the seizures. She has chose to not answer the phone, return any of my calls or emails, I also called her family and told them to have her call me and she is not calling back. I think she knows that she has sold people sick dogs and is ignoring the people now. This is so sad because I needed to find out as much info about my dog that she had for over a year and she wouldn't even email me back to tell me any backround information. I contacted the Breeder she got my dog from and found out that she had been told when the dog was purchased she had LP and that she was not to be used for breeding. Brenda never told me, denied the dog had anything wrong with her and wanted to breed her. Now shes no where to be found and I am suck. I love my new dog so much and I am trying as hard as I can to take good care of her, it's just a shame that she is taking advantage of people. Also I don't believe there is any puppy lemon laws in Missouri and Michigan, which is where the transaction happen and where she is from. |

| So I guess this site is for people to lie about people and try to ruin the reputation they have built for 20 years? I don't see any one else comlpainig about my dogs or puppies. But I do see alot of people saying alot of bad things about me when they have no idea of who I am or how I take care of my dogs. Or conduct my business. Just one crazy lady trying to get something for nothing and give me a bad reputation in the process. I don't appriciate any one talking about people when they have no idea what they are talking about. Even the first lady who has ellie mae, has an older dog who has a problem that came about when she was older. She doesn't blame me. She even said ellie mae was a happy healthy puppy. ANY dog or person for that matter can develop all kinds of medical problems as they age. It doesn't have to come from there breeding. Ellie mae's parents lived for 14 and 15 years with absolutly no health problems. How long do most breeders guarante there dogs not for life I'm sure. But the rest of you with your snide remarks should mind your own buisness especially when you don't know what your talking about. Maybe then I wouldn't feel I have to defend myself. This is quite a site you people have built. And I for one don't appriciate it. Brenda |

| Well there are some people out there who do try to trust people and try to make it possible for someone to pay for a dog when they don't have alot of money. This is the first time I ever let a dog leave my posession before it was payed for. She seemed like a nice person when she came to my home and I THOUGHT she was grieving from the loss of her other puppy. So much for trying to be compasionate. It will never happen again thank's to the crazy lady from canada. So much for trying to trust people. Brenda |
