If so, I am the author/researcher who wrote the article. It was written prior to the YTCA's vote on the Disqualification ruling, so I may be revising part of the article stating that Black coated dogs are no longer allowed to show ... but time will tell on that. ;-) AKC can verify the massive numbers of DNA testing, prior to registering the first parti litters. As for research sites, here's a few and some of the links, have multiple reference sites to research from: http://bowlingsite.mcf.com/Genetics/Genetics.html http://www.kolumbus.fi/sarakontu/link/canlinks.html http://homepage.usask.ca/~schmutz/dogcolors.html http://www.batw.net/borzois.com/coat...oat.color.html http://www.lildachs.com/genetics.htm I've corresponded with geneticist at both Virginia Tech Vet school and UC Davis in California with regards to both equine and canine color genetics. I've written a number of articles on equine color genetics that were published in equine magazines and news papers, including the breed magazine that the research was done for "The Morgan Horse" and I've been asked to speak at the Morgan Horses' yearly National convention numerous times with regards to equine color genetics. Over the years I was editor of the Rainbow Morgan Horse newsletter, VP, board member and promotional liaison of the Rainbow Morgan Horse Association. This club was to help make Morgan owners and breeders aware that Morgans came in colors besides bay, black and chestnut. Prior to the year 2000, colorful morgans were rarely shown in Morgan shows (judges wouldn't look at them) ... now because of education and a better understanding of color genetics, colorful Morgans are in demand and are winning at the Grand National level. I no longer raise Morgan ... I've downsized and have colorful Miniature horses :-) I am by no means and expert, but I am open minded and always learning ... I do my research and try to stick to the facts but I am a writer and my own opinions are thrown into the mix. So enjoy the links I posted, there's a wealth of information out on the internet! |
Thanks so much!! I cant wait to read them. Lynn |
Ruben, How on earth are you going to manage FOUR dogs under one roof. I think it is simply too much for you to handle and you need to get rid of one of those furry critters. Now I just so happen to be looking for a parti and an would be glad to take your little one off your hands for you. So when she is ready just send her on over to me. :dribble: Seriously, I am so in love with that little dog!!!!! Thanks for the update and pictures. PLEASE keep us updated. I think you are going to be responsible for a lot of us purchasing parti's in the future! </IMG></IMG> |

I think it is silly to belittle over color. the ones that are negative should read the book "who moved my cheese":D |

I see they still have their tails. I believe the Party & Biewers leave the tails long. The white with black spots and the long flowing tail is Beautiful in the pics I've seen of them. Will you be selling her? |

4 Attachment(s) Well today they are 5 weeks old. They are both doing well. We are still trying to figure out a name for the white Parti female. We were trying to think of names associated with white for her or maybe that is just too corney :) They are both already paper trained (they are quick learners) :) They are also both drinking water from the bowl. Anyway, here are some current pictures as of tonight. |
