This happens often. Somewhere down the line one of his relatives is bigger and the gene showed up in this puppy. That's why it helps to know a few generations back so you can be aware of what might show up. Just knowing the parents and grandparents isn't enough, you have to go a little further back at times.

I had a litter a few months ago with the same results. 3 puppies all together. 2 of them haven't even made 4lbs yet and will only be 5lbs full grown. But one is 7lbs already, he is huge compared to his sisters.

Welcome to YT! The yorkie in the picture looks like a light coated yorkie, nothing like a parti yorkie. As far as size, you need to look back into your dogs pedigrees. Somewhere back a few generations there was a larger yorkie in their lines.

Oh shoot. Now I can't impress you. Technically, English is like my first language too. I learned Spanish first, but I was born in raised here in the states. I have forgotten all my Spanish grammar though. :(

Our Sabrina had a litter 8 weeks ago, one of the puppies came out as a standard boy with a white chest and the other was a female partie with black and white. I will try to post some pictures when I get a chance.

When I first read the post I saw the pictures and one said that the yorkie was so much bigger than the rest. I have a 18 LB yorkie and we call the bigger ones teapots instead of teacup that some call their very small yorkies.

I have parti Yorkies and find them simply beautiful! I'd say DNA test them to make sure she didn't have a Romeo sneak into the mix and if they're Parti-Yorkies congratulations!
