I really am glad I was misinformed about this place, he said he would like for me to come see everything. I think I would like to do this, it sounds like they have a nice setup. I wish they would post pics on their website showing the runs and more of the setup so more people wouldn't get the wrong idea about their place.
Once again, even though they probably wont see this, I would like to appologize for the misconceptions about their setup.
Oh, and they said that Kiley hadnt had pups in about 4 years so they figured she was done having pups so she had a "cage mate" named Cricket, also a yorkie. She wasnt even showing when we got her, so they had no way of knowing she was preg when she left.

although I have never heard of this breeder and know many breeders in NC, I will add that I saw nothing odd with their dogs on their site or any bad conditions. Crates and cages are a part of owning dogs. The only concern I had was the fact that any long time breeder would know that you do not "house" an intact male with a female who isn't spayed. That is just common sense regardless to how long it had been since she had had babies. And then I thought of her age, and the fact she was re-homed "retired" from breeding, so my next thought was why wasn't she spayed by the breeder prior to doing so. That is the proper thing to do. If she wasn't spayed she shouldn't have had a "cage mate" that was un-altered. That was my only point. I do not know anything else about the breeders nor do I have any thing negative to say about their kennel conditions because I do not go on hear say. Thanks for letting me explain my concerns. :)

Im guessing there will be 3boys and 1 girl. Puppies will be here at 5:30AM Wed.

oh, that was not necessarily directed at you, it was a general post to everyone, to let them know there was a misunderstanding from what i had been told.

I just wanted to explain my concern with how she ended up this way a little better.

She is very lucky to have you and your house hold size is about to increase a little more, lol!

Hi Kelly!!! I just read this whole thread, and I want to wish you luck with your precious babys' delivery. I hope all goes well for her (and you!!!) and I am guessing 4 girls and one boy!!!! lol. I know nothing about delivery or breeding (I would keep every one if I did!!) but i am thinking of your little girl:) Can't wait for delivery post!!!!

[When she is done "pushing the last one out", that little girl is going to be exhausted (lol)

I put the lol in the wrong place. It just made me laugh seeing her on her back, legs up and her expanded tummy. She is so tiny and thank goodness this will be her last whelping. Her little eyes just appear to be smiling and happy. Joyful little girl.

lol....yea, i though it was cute too. My next step is to finish the walls in her room, good sheetrock and some cute paint......we were going to but thats when we discovered her "surprise":p

Kelley, just checking to see how mom was doing, I have been reading all the posts.....Little Kiley is a cutie.....I would say 1:45 am and that she will have 3 girls and 1 boy...:teddy:....Rest up little mommy...:dogzzz: ..Keep us posted on her progess....

oh, i hope it will be tonight. my husband will be with her tomorrow, i have to go back to work, but im only 5 minutes away should anything start..

If it happens tonight and shes not done tomorrow am or i dont feel comfortable leaving her and pups here (even they wont be alone) then im using a sick day...:p

Well shucks! I just read through all 13 pages of this thread thinking that somewhere on the last page or 2 it would say she had given birth to ?? boys and ?? girls! The suspense is making me tired. I will check this thread again in the morning but will skip to the last page next time! lol

Aw shucks! Another cliff hanger!

I am glad the breeder is not a puppy mill. I have to admit that I was surprised to see such a nice home & surroundings - the general surroundings of the puppy mills I have seen are usually sort of rundown. However, I also would not agree with the cage mate and would have hoped that she would have been spayed years ago to cut down on the mammary tumor risk.
And, of course, I don't agree with all the designer breeding:animal-pa

Hoping to hear about a successful whelping soon & really want to see some cute puppy pics.

Mommy still just hanging out? She should be close though all the signs are there.
