We Have Puppies!!
 
:aimeeyork HI!!! Sorry no update in a while!! I had to work today and a friend kept a check on her. I took her to the vet when I got home since something just did not look right....i was right. They gave her a shot of Oxy and she spit out one boy...then she quit pushing. They gave her another shot of oxy and she started going down...the vet said she in uterine inertia (sp) and did an emergency c-section. she delivered 3 more little girls.. all healthy and screaming. they spayed kiley while they were doing the surgery at no extra cost so this would not happen again. The vet said that even if we would have gotten the shot 3 days ago that she still would not have had the pups without a csection because she was too large and her uterus was stretched too much. Ill post pics in a sec, its time for a feeding. We are helping her until shes back to normal. shes already got them with her and is cleaning them up and acting like a very good mommy!!! :) :D

:congrats: I am glad that all is well for your momma and her pups! My momma had her babies today too! 4 boys and 1 girl! Too bad we didn't live closer we could have set up puppy playdates....:D

YAY!! PUPPIES ARE FINALLY HERE!! 3 girls..wow! I can't wait to see pics!! Glad momma, pups and you are all ok! Good luck with your new addition...it's gonna be an experience you'll never forget! ttyl!

Ok, heres some pics!!!
they weigh from 3.5 to 4.4 oz.

oh, does a csection affect the milk? plus she was spayed.

Thanks goodness the puppies are finally here I was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to have them. I am so glad that she is alright and so are the babies.

Oh, I am in tears reading about Kiley. I am so glad that you took her to the vet and they gave her a c-section plus spay. Poor little thing wouldn't have made it, would she? Please give her kiss from all of us and thank you so much for sharing your news. She is an amazing Yorkie.

Congrats !!!!!!

One of my girls (my Chi) had a c section and her milk was not effected at all. She had lots! And she had 4 pups. She wasn't spayed though because of huge complications....

Now....the next question for you is............................

HOW MANY OF THOSE PRETTY BABIES ARE YOU KEEPING ?????!!!! :D

Is she home or at the hospital? Someone with knowledge with answer your question about her milk.

i know we are keeping one and my mom is getting one. the other 2 we will probably sell. they are at home with us. kiley is doing great! we have a little girl who is not feeding on her at all though. she will try to suck on a bottle, but it comes back out her nose. there is nothing wrong with the roof of her mouth from what i can see, and the vet didnt seem concerned when i asked her if she was breathing a little funny before we left. oh, and she (the vet) said there were no cleft's or anything as far as she could tell.

Congratulations! I am so happy to hear all went well. Now it's time for you to sit back and enjoy your new babies. The pics of them are adorable. I know you and Kiley are proud of them.
