| Still wondering why most if not all breeders will say males are better but they charge much higher for the females. The only reason I got a female was I had a male Yorkie before and even though neutered, he was bad about marking in the house. Of course I heard females also do this but I dont remember my female doing this. She does go in the house but she is 13 yrs old and we need to take her out more.

| I never did say in my post if I thought boys were harder to sell I probably get 1 phone call for a boy to every 3 to 4 for a girl. Girls generally go first thing and are more popular. I sell on spay neuter and still charge more for girls. I will be truthful as to really why. They are more in demand and people will pay more even without the option to breeding them. Because its been passed on and on that girls are better pets. |

I'm not sure yet, but I think all my puppies will go with limited registrations, and this is what I have told people who call, but they don't seem to care, they still want the girls. I know girls usually weigh less, but my two girls and one of my boys are small 8 oz-2 weeks (according to the charts 4-4.5 lbs full grown) and no one said I want the small male!! Oh and by the way, I have not listed my puppies in the paper or anything yet, the few telephone calls that I have gotten were just word or mouth.

| On my first litter the first puppy I sold was my male. On this second litter I still have both males. They are both adorable but one is going to be about 7 lbs and even though he is beautiful, his size makes him less desirable to buyers. Out of all of the puppies he is definately the sweestest and will make someone the best pet. I am in no hurry to sell them tho because the older they get the better looking they are going to be and it will be easier to sell them then. My favorite dogs are definately my males. All of my dogs love me to death but the males are so much more attached to me and are like magnets. Everywhere I go, there they are. They are also the happy little clowns and the females have more of a diva attitude. They want lots of loving too but only when they want it. The males are like little rays of sunshine and I wish everyone out there would give them a chance and they would see that the males are so much sweeter and loving. I use belly bands on mine and that keep the marking under control. |

| I would never own another male Yorkie. I prefer the females in this breed. |

| Both my boys and girls are little angels. But it does seem that more folks ask about the girls first .Teri
