| Questions for Breeders: My girl Lexie was exibiting pregnancy signs during the first 4 weeks but not so much now. I am not sure if she was having a false pregnancy or perhaps 1-2 big/small babies and carrying high. Her nipples are still very swollen and there is a lump in her tummy but she is not huge swollen. She has no huge belly but she is not a tiny yorkie either. My vet was so sure she was pregnant when he checked her out before but he wants to wait instead of having me do x-rays because they are so costly here. (Especially if there is a chance she isn't) He said there is no real need since she should have no problems with delivering a baby/s because of her size so he is not concerned and that would only be needed to confirm size and pregnancy and the same could be done by waiting. Well my question is can you feel babies by week 7? I was feeling where the lump is on her tummy (though very lightly when I rubbed her tummy...as she wants me to do so much because her nipples stay swollen) and it feels like something was moving and possibly kicking and I wanted to know if I was wrong or if that was possible??? Can you feel babies that early? It fely like 1. 1 little lump there. She felt it too and reacted...it seems to drive her nuts. The little lump might be 1 or 2...I'm not sure or it might be fatty nothing because this is all new to me but I just wanted to ask because I feel her tummy every night and these lumps were not like this before. I know I sound like I am babbeling but I don't know who else to ask and you guys have raised babies before so I appreciate any help here. If she is pregnant she would be due January 13-16 I think. Another weird thing is my boy Romeo is going weird every time he sees Lexie...He is seperated from her but if she even enters the same room he goes gaga as if she is in heat and starts humping the side of the crate (Literally) or anything he can wanting to get to her...He is going crazy...what can I do? He seems confused and seems to think she is in heat (which she has not been in since November). I just don't get his attitude here! He is crazy! It is worrying me because he wil not stop this at all...I am worried about letting him around any of my girls because of this behavior. How do I stop it? I took him out to potty one time and he tried to break through the door to get to Lexie...I tell you she is not even remotely close to being in heat since she was in heat when she got tied in November which is why she might be pregnant now. I am just a teeny bit stressed...lol. I think it will be easier if I can just figure out how do deal with this... ~Tru

| At week seven you should be able to feel the pups move. I wouldn't worry too much. Is her vulva still swollen? Your male may be acting on the fact that she smalls differently right now. I'd let them be together supervised. It usually only takes one snap from the gal to put him in his place and cool his jets! Pregnant ladies do not like to be messed with. If she hasn't reabsorbed the pup she'll be doing some nesting before too long. Start taking her temp twice a day and watching for signs. Good Luck

| Her vulva is still swollen a little. and the color is darker. Like her nipples that has not really gone down a lot in swelling as much. I did try letting Romeo around Lexie before...I had posted about him humping on her until he hurt her. I was unaware of this...(because he usually only wanted to cuddle with her) I only knew she got a weird rash then I cought him suddenly. The vet said he could smell her hormonal change but this crate humping is odd for him...lol. I can feel something in her tummy and I am not sure it is a baby/s or if it is not but if it is it was really weird. I have never felt anything like this. It was small firm lumps...though she shifted so it might be just 1...and I'm pretty sure I felt it kicking. Anyway if I am right it was neat. If I am wrong I don't know how to feel for them. I want to learn. lol. I am still new at this. I do know I didn't put any pressure on her tummy at all. ;-) The thing is it is so hard to see when she stands or moves that something could be hideing in there...lol. ~Tru

| We are not sure... I had a different vet check her out and she said if she is pregnant that she is about 6 weeks not 7 so we are not as far along as I thought...I forgot to figure in the full week...lol. I only counted the first day they tied. I am no good at this. Lexie is not as big as they thought she would get either. They said she might be or it is a false pregnancy. We will know by the first week of Feb. I will Keep watching her. I will also keep ypu all posted. Her tummy is slightly swollen...All of her nipples are swollen and her vulva is still swollen...so they just aren't sure. They said she might very well have one tiny baby in there...we shall see! I am watching and waiting! lol. The way it looks right now though I am not sure she is. I am not sure if it is a false pregnancy or if her body absorbed it. That was another fear the vet had. But the fact that she is slowly continuing to swell and that they were together later that week made the vet think to tell me to wait until Feb before I decided she was not at all. So I just don't know how to tell. lol. I am back at the beginning here...lol. I will let you know when I know more. :-)

| The way you are describing feeling the lump in her tummy and the male's actions, I would say she probably is pregnant. That is about the same way Katie was at about 6 weeks. I thought i could feel 2 lumps, turned out she had 4 pups. If she is you should know for sure by feeling her tummy in the next week. Puppies movement will be more noticable, especially if she is laying on her back. Katie also wanted her tummy rubbed constantly! I know what you mean about being stressed, Katie had her puppies on Jan. 5th and had a rough few first days but she is doing great now and I am finally calming down. Keep us posted! There are so many new puppies this month!
