I guess some haven't seen the breeder sites - now you want to talk about people getting ripped apart - go there - There's a site out there that would curl your hair..... Granted...we ALL could think twice before hitting submit - but that's part of posting online -

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() oh..ps...my comments in this thread were just trying to defend some of the people who do post alot in the breeding section ....aside from remarks they MAY make ....theyare still good people at the other end of those posts...people I've seen over and over really step up when someone came looking for help. there may be some times we don't like how something is said - but it's up to the person who asks questions to sift thru the answers they want to keep in their heads...whoever said "most of the time people will do what they want anyway" was right on target - that's why we see SO many different varieties of yorkies - everyone wants to breed - but only a few really should. I'm not complaining - it's just the way it is. |

Anyways yeah I know people have their ways and styles of talking. I just wish they could be a little nicer when posting is all. I think people listen more when they are talked nicely too. I know if I had asked a question and got some not so nice post, I would think twice before asking another question. and I think the best way to learn others what we know about Yorkies is to listen and answer nicely with out all the rudeness.Thats one of the reasons I came here was to learn all that I can about the breed.

| ![]() I actually didn't think this thread was too bad...lol The frustrating issue is when people come here and ask the FORBIDDEN questions...we get riled up because how many times have we seen a post that ask about breeding their very small yorkies..and then a few months later beg for help about what to do because now they have puppies dying, a mom is distress and things are going wrong. This scenario seems to play out weekly, very sad. And you guys are right, many of these breeders do not really care what we say, all the warnings and actual valuable information is ignored. I think, though, by giving such strong warnings at least they are a little less ignorant and when the worst happens they know it is their own fault and can rest that on their conscience. I think there needs to be a sticky thread about breeding but it needs to be positive. When I first thought about breeding a yorkie all the information I found was VERY negative, and it took time to learn. The simple fact is people want to breed but they want it to be easy, it is not. There are many rewards to breeding but it takes time, lots of money, research, pain and a good supportive system. Perhaps if we had a place where they could go for all the information ,with a positive view of WHY you need to do things a certain way (testing, research...) who knows what the result would be?

| ![]() The best teachers in the world are ones who take the time to explain things in a way that's interesting and yet to the point. If some of those who come on here to ask a question get belittled and insulted while getting their information..chances are they will walk away from here only remembering the belittling and insults. If they get their questions answered in a respectful way, and if they are spoken to as an equal and not a subordinate then chances are they will remember the facts and perhaps not breed because of what they've learned. Each new poster is an individual. He or she should be treated the way YOU would like to be treated. With respect. I'm relatively new at YT and from what I've seen I don't think I would post a question here...I guess my skin bruises too easily. |

| ![]() I don't know who the 'owner' of this website is, but it may behoove you to know that the advertisement on the front 'home' page, advertises 'teacups' of many different kinds of dogs, including Yorkies. For those of you that are very adament about not using that term at all, it's pretty ironic that our website states that there IS, in fact, this kind of breed. Just an FYI. |
