I didn't write it, I read it and wanted to know what breeders felt about this.

I feel like there is a trend towards baiting this week, both in the general discussion area and breeders. It's disappointing.

Though this might be a legitimate concern for a potential breeder, I hope that people that consider this stay far away from breeding.

You can quote all you want, that you only READ it, but OBVIOUSLY you are thinking about doing it, or just wanting to upsetting everyone else, which is why you brought it up. Shame on you On a side note, just because a puppy is in some way deformed doesn't mean you have to kill it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure there are plenty of families that would give that pup a loving home, despite the flaw. I hope you don't plan on breeding

Just because you read something and a book, doesn't mean it is a good idea to come onto a yorkie and animal lovers site and ask about. It was clearly meant to upset!

This was uncalled for.

The question was meant for intelligent, open minded, experienced breeders.

After reading all of these reactions, I doubt that anyone would give an honest answer now, or even get into an itelligent discussion of the pros and cons.

This book was co-authored by a vet and, in the wild, this would be what the mother would do. She would push the puppy from the nest and it would either starve or die of hypothermia.

I wanted to know if it was a common practice. However I feel at this point that I would not get an honest answer or an intelligent discussion. So forget I brought it up.

It's just too sad to think someone (not implying the OP) would do this. There are some pretty heartless people out there....bet the puppy millers wouldn't pay a vet any money, nor would they probably find it a home Another reason to hate them. Them and anyone who'd do this to any baby....

I just asked a question hoping for intelligent responses, by experienced breeders. And no I hav not done it, I am not a breeder.

I wasn't BAITING. I don't feel that I should have to defend myself for asking a question. I was not trying to start an argument. I didn't say it was good or bad. So I guess if everyting I say is going to be twisted then I shouldn't post anymore.
