This was uncalled for.
The question was meant for intelligent, open minded, experienced breeders.
After reading all of these reactions, I doubt that anyone would give an honest answer now, or even get into an itelligent discussion of the pros and cons.
This book was co-authored by a vet and, in the wild, this would be what the mother would do. She would push the puppy from the nest and it would either starve or die of hypothermia.
I wanted to know if it was a common practice. However I feel at this point that I would not get an honest answer or an intelligent discussion. So forget I brought it up.
