Did she sell me a puppy? Nope. Now that she said that, my plan is to work with what I have. And measure my progress by showing, then improve when neccessary.

You summed it up here. When I show dogs, it validates my breeding program. It validates that I am producing wonderful dogs. It validates that I am breeding only for the best and I show them to prove that.

I only breed to produce me a show dog. I detest breeding, it's absolutely horrible to watch my girls in the whelping process. Horrible!!! Each time I do it I don't know if I can do it another time. But.......I love showing dogs and I can not buy as good as I breed, so I breed again to get me another show dog. There is nothing worse then having to place the rest of the litter as pets and pray that I am not making a bad judgement call on one of the new owners.

I am not a breeder . I really think that there are too many newcomers to the breed that improvise theirselves as breeders . I see more and more Yorkies in my neighborhood and sometimes really wonder why peoples take time to breed dogs like that , some of those dogs are very hard to recognize as Yorkies .

And that's exactly why I am on the same mission as the Show breeder to keep what I have close to my home, too many people have been nice to my face and have proven to be someone I would NOT sell a puppy too. I am more worried about what I have than pleasing the world around me. I dont' mean to sound harsh, but that's how I feel. As for showing..I personally don't feel it does ME justice to show something that I bought from someone else. I am a go getter...I like to work and prove myself or try to anyway. The Yorkshrire Terrier IMO is a mess for the most part. I make this statement thinking of www.puppyfind.com That makes me SICK to see how may kinds of Yorkies they are..and most look like Silkies. Makes sense why at the show, many show breeders get asked..is that a Yorkie or Silky.
