| Not sure if she's pregnant This is my first and only litter I'll be having with my girl in boy, my boys only two weeks younger then my female so they're about 18 months . My girl is 8/9 pounds and my boy is 4.5 to 5 pounds and on jan 23rd they kept trying to mate but I didn't witness a tie then the next day the 24th and the 25th I cought them tie both days ! And I believe they might've tied the 26th as we didn't realize they had gotten in the door together! Sneaky turds lol . So she's now at 2 1/2 weeks or so or at the least 2 weeks in 2 days , she was acting very different last week being tired and sleeping away from us, now she's sleeping with us but sleeps a lot and her nipples for sure seem bigger in I believe she's a bit swollen low down in the abdomen , my question is do they usually not show much Til four weeks and if two or more ties is a pretty for sure chance of her being pregnant ? I was told just one tie is a more then half and half chance at pregnancy , I just feel bad because they could've tied more then the two for sure times I saw them because my husband while I was away for a few hours on two different nights let them sneak in together which was the two days after the first two ties, they're ties only lasted 2 to 3 minutes and the second one when they broke free in I had moved them on accident some liquid kinda like sprayed out a bit it looked clear too so I think I might've broke the second tie but not sure . Anyhow I'd love ur tips |

| You will need to take her to the vets in after 45 days to confirm pregnancy. Some females do not show any signs until day 50 into pregnancy. To show puppies an X-ray should be taken no sooner than day 53. An ultrasound will show hearts sooner but day 45 should be your vet visit day. Hope all goes well as if understood correctly this is an accident and it was not planned nor supposed to happen, right? The other option you have is to schedule an emergency spay even before you find or figure anything out and your mind will be at easy. It can be done now if you want , you need to call your vet and discuss this option, but needs to be done asap. Xoxo

So now I'm not sure if I'll have her help but I will continue my learning and am very excited and hope she is pregnant as this will be her only litter I have emergency money put away for medical needs answer just built a great Whelping box and got a mat fitted to it she is now sleeping a lot an her nipples used to be very thin and small they're now wide and hard . |

| You should schedule a vet visit for day 45 of first witnessed tie, and an xRay appointment for day 56. It should give you an exact head count if she is pregnant ( an experienced vet will give you that at day 56, an exact head count). An experienced breeder should also be present, if not possible, I suggest set up a vet assisted delivery. So much can go wrong or not, but your first litter should not be happening without experienced eyes by your side. My suggestion. Xoxo

| I would schedule the xray just a tad later...like day 58-59...that puts you closer to due date and you will not have as many days left for those babies to grow....so you are going to be pretty darn close to actual size you will be dealing with as far as passing thru the pelvic ring....maidens usually deliver later than the due date, so dont be concerned if you hit day 63-65 and still have no babies yet! Make sure the vet MEASURES the head/pelvic ring ratio to be sure you will not have a puppy stuck in the birth canal. If you do the xray on day 58, and it looks like it is going to be a tight fit, remembering those babies still have almost a week to grow, I would go ahead and schedule a section.....Day 60, they are mature and developed enough to safely deliver. |
