| What is needed is LEADERSHIP. I have contacted a few people I know to try and produce a documentary film about this type of behavior by the HSUS. I actually have received some interest. Nothing set in stone. If anyone reading this is an aspiring film maker message me. |

eBay is a private entity and can make whatever selling rules they like. Animals are not their focus, they are not experts, and animal trade is a thorny business, so I wouldn't be surprised that they turned to HSUS for assistance for lack of an alternative, or HSUS offered it. I think the better alternative would be for eBay to stay away from live animals or everything related.

| Maximo, I don't know why I didn't think of it but your so right. Why would anyone ever want to buy any animal on e-bay? |

I agree with this completely. While I don't want it to harm any reputable breeders; I am glad they turned to HSUS for assistance and it would be fine with me if they banned it completely.

| Just thinking about this more: I believe the anger toward eBay in this matter is misplaced. Their only interest is compliance with laws and regulation. Keeping up with the regulation of animals/stud services sales is beyond what should be expected of eBay. Think of how AKC struggles just to keep up with registration and limited oversight of breeding. APHIS regulations are the issue of debate. Is there anything stopping breeders from forming their own central online sales/advertising site if it is so desired? Feel free to point out if I am misunderstanding any of this.
