I didn't know eBay allows the sale of live animals or studding arrangements. Personally, I don't like the idea of using eBay for this.
eBay is a private entity and can make whatever selling rules they like. Animals are not their focus, they are not experts, and animal trade is a thorny business, so I wouldn't be surprised that they turned to HSUS for assistance for lack of an alternative, or HSUS offered it. I think the better alternative would be for eBay to stay away from live animals or everything related.
