![]() Teeth can easily be pulled, if I am not mistaken. I would suggest talking to your breeder before doing anything else, but just to make you feel better, you can see from some of the suggestions here that you do have other options, should it come to that...hopefully it won't. I don't know what your intentions for this little guy are (as far as your breeding plan, nothing negative) if you are intent on breeding or if you would be happy as a pet, so I don't know what kind of outcome you would be willing to settle for as far as how to advise you. Definately talk to your vet first, I do know sometimes it take time for the testicles to drop, maybe he just isn't a "man" yet! ![]()

![]() If you didnt receive or sign a contract stating the health and hereditary guarantee of this baby then you have no legal right. Reputable breeders will NOT release a baby with out an adoptee/breeder agreement. Most reputable breeders that may have been remiss will still stand behind their breeding but those who puprosely sell without a contact do so because they do not want to be bothered once the pup has been placed. You would be hard pressed in any court not having a contract that protects you as a buyer in incidents such as this. If I were you I would wait a couple more months, my little man "Ransom" didnt drop totally until after 8 months. It's also my opinion you have nothing to bargin, because once again you have no written agreement.

| ![]() I am having trouble with this post ![]() This is a couple who bought a dog for breeding, no contract (what quality of Yorkie did he buy without a contract), doesn't know about puppy teeth or the basic's of their physical being, now wants a female and you are telling him to go to a lawyer. Without a contract it is "Buyer Beware". I am trying to not be disrespectful but please pick up a book on Yorkies as well as going through the YT site to understand the value of quality breeding in these dogs.

![]() okay the consensus here is 1.) call the breeder and a lawyer. That seems to be pretty fair. This way you have all your bases covered. Good sound advice if you as me. ![]()

![]() It all comes down to what the contract states. If you bought a male for breeding and there are no testicles at 6 months, you should get a refund after you return the pup or the breeder should pay whatever extra cost to neuter and you keep your pet...retained testicle neutering runs more then a regular neutering. The pups should not have been sold for breeding in the first place if the testicles could not be detected at the time of the sale. As to the teeth..have them removed, a normal puppy expense for the pet owner.. PS..when the testicles remain the body cavity for months , they tend to aptophy and he would be the best stud potential anyway. These things are genetic recessive traits, so why buy another from the line who no doubt carries the genes?

Maggie didn't lose her double row of teeth until she was 8 months old. She still has two small upper canines. Hopefully they will fall out soon. The vet said to watch them. So far, I'm watching them everyday.

![]() But my question is ... why would someone purchase a dog for breeding and NOT have a contract of some sort? ![]()
