Nothing much else happening right now. She did let me lay on the floor and sleep for a little bit. At least now I can go for a little longer. Still has some liquid coming out ever so slowly. If the waiting getting to this point didn't kill me then the waiting to getting pups out is. Wow....how do some people do this. Maybe it is because I am a nervous wreck that it is wearing me out. LOL |
It never gets easier with me. I am a nervous wreck everytime. With the fluid your seeing I say your close. Most of mine go from nothing to pushing in seconds. I sit and stare at them for days waiting..lol I keep the coffee going..make sure I have plenty candy and crawl up in the bed and I stay there for days. The time its over I am a fruit cake..lol |

Coffee is going, 5 hour energy drinks are on standby and excedrine migraine is next to me. Settled in for the long haul now. |
Well, shoot! I was hoping for an announcement this morning. Sounds like my kids - one was 6 days late, the other 11 and both had to be induced - they were happy where they were, much like these pups. I wish you knew when she was actually due so that you could at least know when to expect the delivery, but sounds like she is in great hands. She's lucky to have you! |

1 Attachment(s) More then likely she was not that far along on the xray dates, All dogs are different and you may have seen ribs and spine a few days early. Uasly pups come within 57-63 days of conception, So shes probley a few days behind 64 days, I can tell you Bel lost her m/plug one day before birth, Now I read her temp stays low so you stopped checking but when she is going to go into labor even if her norm temp in 98.9 her temp will drop lower then her norm and stay. So if you check her temp and get 97.9 and it doesnt go higher then her normal temp for 8 hours she will go into labor soon, With Bela loosing her plug it was barly noticable, Just a little discharge and only once, But the next day she had them, Keep us posted,Attachment 337347 |
It's time!! Something is there in her vulva!!!!!!! |
Good luck!!! |
watch closely if a pup comes and is in the b/c more then 5 mins, try to help her, If you cant call the vet, if she pushes more then 2 hours no pups call the vet, But stay claim and try to let her do everything, Only help if shes in trouble, Please keep us posted. |
Was going to take her temp and when I looked I can see that she has opened up and see something there. Since you can't see me right now, I can tell you that I am shaking from head to toe. Must start my breathing now. |

I just found this thread. I thought that when I got to the end there would be 4 beautiful puppies squiriming around. Then I find out that they are just now getting ready to be born and she is going to the vet. I can't stand it. Does anyone know if she will have the ability to post by phone? Please say yes. I am nervous and excited for her. |

Ok, I woke up a couple of time last night and kept checking thread, I think the last was about 5 something this morn. Glad you have camera and I pray all goes well. I will check in a couple of hours. Good luck girl, and give little momma a hug..... |
What a relief that you will be able to have the vet deliver! You are the best thing to happen for this little girl and I hope you are her new forever mommy! She deserves you! |
Just talked to Sara and Bella has had her pups. They had to do a c-section but she had 3 girls and one boy: girl, girl, boy and girl. No weights yet, when she gets home she will post that information. 2 are brown and black and look like yorkies and two are lighter brown and could possibly have maltese. Mama is doing well and babies are all doing great.:animal36:animal36:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

What a day this has been. Started out as being able to see a pup in the vulva. Contacted the vet and since she is so small he wanted us to come in so he can monitor her and be there just in case there was problems. We knew this from the xray that we would be going up there so it was not a shock to me....more of a relief. Get to the vet after fighting rush hour traffic and he looks at her and said yes we do have a pup ready. He checked her pelvis and felt her tummy. He did check the cervix to see how dilated she was and she was complete however she was not wide enough to pass a pup through without possible complications. So we opted then to just do the c-section as opposed to waiting until there was a problem. A controlled section is much better than one where time is of the essence. At 9:39 am the started the section. Then came...... Girl 1 - 4 oz Brown color Girl 2 - 3.5 oz Black & Tan Boy 1 - 4 oz Black & Tan Girl 3 - 3.5 oz Gray & Tan Mom and pups came through just fine. Tried getting pups to nurse and they would suck just nothing was happening. Tech was able to express milk out of each teat so she does have milk. Tried again when mom was more awake but still no luck. Brought mom and babies home to bottle feed them and they would not drink from the bottle. Think the nipple is just too hard for them to suck on. Used a 3ml syringe and was able to give them some milk. All the puppies are quiet now and warm. Mom however got out of the area they were in to go potty and will not go back to them. She has yet to lick them. Right now I am just taking it minute by minute to make sure all goes well. Don't know if this is normal for a first time mom with a c-section or not. Here are a few of the much awaited babies. Dad was the maltese so I now have 4 Morkies. Although none of them got his white color. But we do know it was not the chihuahua. ****Well the darn thing won't let me upload the pictures. I resized them to the smallest that I can and still not working. Will post them as soon as I figure it out. Darn computer. |
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! I have been following this thread anxiously awaiting the birth of these little blessings. So very glad to hear that mommy and babies are doing fine. |
