| thank you. I just want honest opinions, no matter how harsh. LOL. I dont want to get ripped off and I dont want to support a BYB, but I am having a very hard time finding a puppy that everything I want close to me, so the internets has been my only option. |

| Your living in UT I can understand your frustration. Check out the YTCA.org breeder referral pages. There is also a breeder contact listed.

| I guess your option would be to travel to pick your pup. The one thing to remember when picking out a pup is to pick your breeder first, then your pup. Remember all pups are cute, so if you don't feel comfortable with your breeder walk away. Oh! and they all sound nice on the phone, that's their business. You need to meet your breeder, face to face.

She is planning on breeding 3 pound dogs and justifies it by saying she hopes they put on another pound. You do not try to fatten up a tiny dam to breed them -- you don't breed less than 5 pounds at their regular weight. She advertises teacups everywhere, apple heads, teddy bear faces, etc. She is selling/breeding gold and chocolate yorkies. It appears she breeds gold and chocolate yorkies to parti's and then calls them carriers of whichever side they don't look like. She is breeding curly haired yorkies. She is selling parti-yorkies, yorkies, and maltese. I always get a funny feeling about anyone breeding both yorkies and maltese then coming up with parti-yorkies. She charges more for small sizes and AKC disqualifying colors. The site just gives an overall feeling of someone out to make a lot of money (Charging $3500 for some of the pups) and not too particular about how they go about doing that. I definately saw NO regard to the AKC standard. In summary -- my opinion is that I would not use the breeder.

| I forgot to mention too -- I think when you are brand new to the forum, a moderator has to review when you start a new thread in some of the forums (such as Yorkies For Sale). They will show up but they will take longer since they are read and approved before they post. This is just a precaution so some of the spam sites can't start a bunch of threads or unscupulous folks can't post unwanted ads.

| I think you guys are right, I just talked to her again, and she just now informed me that Tiny Tyler, the one I wanted, has a broken leg and only 1 testy. When I told her I thought I was going to pass, she offered to drop his price down to $2500, with full AKC reg. I thought dogs couldnt breed with one testy? Not that I am looking to breed, it was just kind of odd to me... |

I think you are wise to keep looking and kudos to you for taking your time, researching and being determined to find a ethical breeder. You will be glad you did in the long run. | |

| I put a deposit for one of the yorkies shown on their website. These folks are wonderful people and I trust them a 1000%. I am so excited to bring home my pup this upcoming week before Christmas! Goldmine Yorkies are trustworthy folks! I would recommend any day... |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Oh sigh, you have got to be kidding us. First time poster on Breeder Talk. Who do you think you are kidding? Besides which even if you are for real, you have not even got your pup yet, how can you do a recommendation on the breeder? You have no idea how that pup will come to you, if there are any issues that might rear up in it's first year of life, never mind 3 or 4 yrs down the road

| I've heard only but great things from several different people who have purchased from they. They are clean and obviously love their yorkies. Why don't you come down from your country of CANADA and check them out and see for yourself. I'm sure you'll feel like a complete idiot after what you see. Don't speak negative about their puppies if you know NOTHING about the breeder and it's history. Thank you |

The contract speaks for itself. i don't care how many "customers" say they are great, i would never buy from or recommend them. And don't call gemy an idiot.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | What does her country of origin have to do with anything? I found your last post to be EXTREMELY rude. The fact that you just "happened" to find this thread and it's the ONLY one you've bothered to post on makes what you say suspect. ETA: I hope to heck if you truly are just a buyer, that you take the time to educate yourself on Florida Puppy Lemon Laws just so you can see how they try to weasel out of what is required under the law.
