Goldmine Yorkies? Has anyone here heard anything positive or negative on Goldmine Yorkies? |
I know nothing about this breeder. I did go to their web site and noticed that they are willing to ship a puppy at 10 weeks old. This IMO is too young. Here are a couple of useful links with a lot of info. on purchasing a puppy. I hope this helps and good luck with your search. teacup yorkies, baby doll, miniature, micro mini, teddybear or standard yorkie puppies do not exist http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/fea...ead-first.html YL |
I visited them earlier today! I found their website a few weeks ago. Visited their house and they were so nice and they genuinely seemed to care about their dogs! They are a small time breeder that only breeds once or twice a year. They have 5-6 Yorkies that they call their own and seem loving to all of them. They showed me the pups that were still available and reserved one! They were very helpful, very knowledgeable about Yorkies and are very accommodating! I highly reccomend them! |

You have every right of being skeptical. This will be my first dog and i happened to be searching last night training tips for yorkie puppies and I ran Across this website and this thread. I honestly visited Their home with my family yesterday and came away feeling like they genuinely cared for their Yorkies. I have pictures of the pup we chose and I have the deposit receipt that i can upload. |
Welcome to YT we like baby pics here :) |

They release pups at 10 weeks of age with only one innoculation. Minimum age to be released is 12 weeks of age to allow time for proper socialization of a pup and insure that the pup is eating well on their own. Their contract alone reveals several red flags. |

See their ad on Ebay Classifieds, YORSHIRE TERRIER PUPPIES AKC-D.O.B.10/17/10-6 WKS OLD CHRISTMAS BABIES | Bushnell | eBay Classifieds (Kijiji) | 6006787 ,want to sell for Christmas, Champion lines and will sell show quality according to their website but have never seen a show ring from what I have seen. What makes them think they know a show quality if they fell over one? These are all additional red flags in my opinion. |
I actually got Dexter from them. He is a very well adjusted puppy and has many champion blood lines throughout his pedigree. He is a Biewer, and I can't say enough good things about this breeder. I just don't understand. She's doing everything recommended here by breeders with the exception of letting them leave when they are 10 weeks old instead of 12 weeks old. Dexter was pee pad trained, came with food, a blanket, toy, health certificate, and everything. I have seen breeders do much worse. |

She doesn't provide a one year guarantee for life threatening congenital defects. I won't get into the Champion Bloodlines. However, there is something else that is conflicting in her website statement. It is stated that all pups go on a spay/nueter. However, her contract states that she is not responsible for show quality. One knows that one cannot show a spay/nuetered dog. I've stated on several occassions that recommending a breeder unless one is throughly familiar with their breeding practices is a big responsibility. You can be held responsible should anything go wrong. Being comfortable with a breeder because they treat their breeding dogs like pets, allowing them to sleep with them is great....but, that is not what consititue a reputable breeder. |
I understand. I agree, her contact needs to be changed. However, she does try more than a lot of other breeders out there. I just wanted to explain that it could be much worse out there. |

I understand what you are saying. That's one reason why I originally posted the question. I didn't get much response before getting Dexter, but now I can see what you mean. |
