I've taken too many canine behavior, canine genetic and breeding classes and none of these classes taught this was normal behavior.....The classes and my personal experiences tell me otherwise. If you have dogs that are fighting to the point of drawing blood and killing pups, you definately have genetic aggression issues and these dogs shouldn't be bred. |

Yorkies can be high strung and often are looking for something to get excited about, but it's the owner's responsibility to exert enough control over and to create a situation so things don't get out of hand. Any serious behavior issues should give any breeder pause. Both their dogs and the situation they've created need to be looked at to determine if it's the dog or them. I think that in this situation, it's both. Motherhen, there's been a lot of good info here along with the criticism. I think you know that your situation got out of hand. No one can 'tell' anyone else what to do, but to add more dogs to the mix until you have a better handle on breeding and how to manage your dogs would be foolish. I don't doubt that you care about your dogs, but you must also properly care for them as well. When breeding lives literally are at stake with the decisions you make. |

It was a decent move on the "breeder's" part to turn the adult dogs over to a wonderful rescue and I feel extremely confident they found good forever homes! |
like I said before, nothing I could ever say or do would make you think I was a good breeder and your opinion of me really doesn't matter. If people do not want to buy pups from me that is their choice. If they do and they want to come see them first and how they are raised I welcome it. If I do not like you and do not feel you will provide a good environment for one of my puppies I will never sell you one. Those who do choose to get puppies from me almost 100% of the time always get their next puppies from me. Their friends get their puppies from me and that is one of the greatest compliments I can get. As far as research, I am sure my research into yorkies and colored yorkies rivals almost anyone on here. My research into genetics is most likely far beyond most people on here. I have been breeding these dogs for 20 years. |

I prefer to think of it as them keeping my spot warm while I'm gone for a couple of minutes, but we all know better. |

Wow!!! Tammy, I did not make arrangements to send someone else's dog to a rescue - I don't have that power. However, the op has said repeatedly that she's trying to find a new home for this poor girl, that she's put her up for adoption, etc. If that's not leaving the door open to rehoming suggestions, I don't know what is. I offered the services of a very reputable rescue to take her in, spay her and make sure she finds a wonderful loving home. I asked her to pm me so that we could make arrangement - I NEVER said that arrangements has already been made. It's rather presumptuous of you to assume that I had done so. I'd like to point out that the op has not acknowledged any of the offers made to her on this thread to help place this baby. We'll see how serious she really is about finding a new home for her. If money is not a motivating factor for her, as she claims, turning her over to a good rescue would be the best thing she could do for this girl. |

I see you been posting that you "rescued" Camden a lot lately. at the time You really didnt rescue her, I told you about her and that the breeder was selling her cheap and I know you would give her a wonderful home and you did. and I was so happy you got her. But at the time it wasn't rescue for you too thought that the breeder was very nice and met with her at her home. bought Camden with out any contract. so really you too was just buying a cheaper Yorkie. and some times not always but some time with a cheaper yorkie comes vet bills. It was later that we talked and decided she was not a very good breeder. oh she had wonderful lines the best, good healthy dogs. but yes they needed groomed.and I know the eye infection you talk about is/ was caused because she her self while brushing her scratched her eye. Im not defending this breeder or bashing her. while she feed her dogs the best foods / vitamins / bottled water. she still didnt keep them in like most of us here on YT do. and to me yes they needed a better life, but Camden wasn't going to a rescue she was selling her. Im the one who talked her into letting those older male/females go to rescue when she said she was done breeding because I was concerned where they would end up as you were too. so I know you now feel that you rescued her and Im so happy you do have her. but there's many here thats doing the same thing buying cheaper Yorkies and thinking they are getting a great deal while like I said before that some times also means vet bills. but you were lucky the eye infection, worms, matted hair is all easy to treat. there are many out there buy really sick Yorkies. |

This is ridiculious I have been watching this thread and I am completely appalled by the conduct of some individuals on this site. I wanted to keep quiet as I have learned it is better to not get involved but I had to draw the line somewhere. It is not OK to degrade another individual. Barb is disabled and a poster tells here to "Get off the couch and get a job." I have no problem with voicing your opinion on the subject at hand but it is over the line when posters make derogatory comments towards another person. I came here to learn and seek advise about my furbaby. I learned it is best not to post as you may be attacked or mocked at any moment. This is part of the forum that I don't like. I hate drama and negativity and have considered leaving. I know that the wrap of YT'ers are going to come down on me for my next statement. I am Arabella's Mommee and Arabella is Calypso daughter. I have sat here and read how my baby is going to be aggressive and out of control. It has brought me to tears. My little girl is very loving and passive. I didn't know her mothers background and do wish I had been told. It wouldn't have changed my mind about getting my little girl. Barb came here for help and is currently dealing with the situation. I understand and respect everyone's opinion on whether she should have been breed or not. Barb fully admitted that they were new to breeding and weren't as educated on the process. She is now trying to the right thing and everyone here is condemning her. I was hoping to see another breeder help guide her into the proper practices but I guess I live a dream world. I am sure that I will be belittled for this post but I felt I needed to say my piece. I am also hoping this thread is closed soon, as it has taken a nasty turn. I still don't know if I will stay on the site. |

I haven't read this whole thread, but seems its got a little crazy. and I didnt see that the OP wanted to re home her Female. while I think rescues are great I have told a lot of people about rescues , But didnt this little girl already come from a rescue? or is it just that she said she rescued her else where? any ways if she came from a rescue I dont think Id send her back yet again. what this girl needs is for someone to be there with her 24/7 work with her. and if the OP wants to re home her, give me your price Id be happy to give her a forever loving home. |

I agree it is ridiculious and it happens all the time. its not helping the OP so I dont know why its allowed. |
