Yes, income is reported, but so are expenditures for showing....nothing to fear from Uncle Sam....my records are in order. I was taught, that nothing is worth doing, if you don't do it correctly.

Advice was given and the reason most backed off, is because the advice that was given wasn't the advice wanted. Yes, education/advice/direction was given. The answer was I spaying isn't an option because of the needed income... Simple as that.

This thread is so sad. none of this is helping these females or any pups.
talk about a circus. now we have members saying people needs jobs and talking about disabled people what does any of this have to do with helping the OP with her problem? no wonder people post a thread and then leave. :thumbdown

Taking care of multiple yorkies takes a lot of work (believe me, I know). In this case, this handicapped person is also ultimately responsible for the care and upkeep of pregnant females, newborn pups, potty training, etc. So I feel it's pretty safe to assume that she's capable of doing SOMETHING. Otherwise, she has no business having multiple dogs breeding and puppies to take care of. That's not making a blanket assumption.

As to your first line....you are 100% correct. I will bet that my personal vet bills and other expenses for my pups are probably higher than yours...especially in that I receive NO income from my pups.

I dont go around talking about how much I spend, but I know people who know me, know exactly what I do. I don't have to blab it around.

And, I am not referring to rescues who receive an adoption fee...I am talking about my personal pups.

Taking care of your pets with the assistance of your spouse is a whole hell of a lot different than going to a job that you have to do for 8 hours a day or more, don't kid yourself.

I pray for her too...........for all the good that is done by her. For all of the sick pups that come into her home that she nurses back to health from all the crap breeders who make their money off the backs of poorly breed dogs.

LadyJane is MY mentor! I stand firmly behind all that she has done and continues to do to save so many and for the :(tears that she has shed for those she was not able to.

If you are betting me, I will take that in a heart beat and you will lose that bet. I am not bragging about my expenses in that post. I was simply stating the local cost for a procedure that can and does happen alot when breeding yorkies for those who only see the costs of these dogs and do not take into acct the expenses.

If you have an emergency in phoenix expect to pay a minimum of 1000 and most likely 2000 to 3000.

As for Calypso....she is a poor pup....but trust me, when I sign off the computer she and you will leave my brain. Nothing I can do..I offered and you and your pals have decided to make a mockery of it all. Does not surprise me...I never figured you really wanted to rehome her anyway since she is such a "good mother". :rolleyes:

Oh...and thank you for the prayers. I will be doing the same for you and the pups in your home.

You attacked me and did it repeatedly and followed my post to do it when I first joined. Then I watched you attack other people I know and you do not. That tell me all I need to know. I do not care to meet you.

Ladyjane does nothing but save the lives of these little creatures. She receives them in an abused state, from either puppy mills, bybers or irresponsible pet owners....cares for them, running to this vet and that vet at all hours of the day and night.....This woman has nothing but the welfare of these little creatures at heart.....So, one can understand why she fights for any animal, she is there voice. She doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk.

there are a lot of great PEOPLE on this site...and mentors...and they earned that title to be called mentors..but they have to be able to keep it and represent it...and the comments on this thread rarely showed mentors, but people with chips on the shoulders and other people helping to hold those chips

I'm right there behind Linda, too.

Hmm, wasn't someone just talking about not judging others and not making assumptions about someone when you know nothing about them? Guess that only applies to some here.

She might be fine with critters and walk & talk :), but as far as people skills go, she has a lot to learn.

I don't think the intent here was to paint everyone that has had any issues with one broad brush. As breeders, we know that temperament is inherited and the behavior of Calypso is alarming.

Probably no one here is expert enough to say for sure at what exact level should a dog not be considered for breeding due to temperament. The thing with Calypso is so extreme that the obvious answer is she should not be bred. It's probably safe to say that a dog with any extreme behaviors (aggression, shyness, fear) should not be bred.

This thread has been revealing in that many breeders have discussed their dogs' behavior. All our experiences and situations are different but it's obvious that aggression is not a universal problem. Yorkies are often percolating with mischief, but shouldn't be violently aggressive, IMO.

No it is not...if you are not comfortable trying to protect some dogs so be it .. you don't have to be in this thread.
