You may not be aware of parti color showing up in traditional litters but it does happen. A few years ago, people here didn't believe that it happened either and they surely didn't believe that parti ever showed up in show breeders litters but it has been proven that show breeders did have parti showing up in their lines as well as in non show breeders lines.

My research shows that there were breeders who were trying to promote the white yorkshire in the early 1900's. Other references do indicate, over and over, that the maltese was more than likely used to improve the coats of the broken haired scotch terrier (who later became known as the yorkshire terrier)... I've found no proof or writings that say "other breeds" were used in making white yorkies, after they (the yorkshire terrier) actually became a breed.

Hi I think you are spot on here to some extent, promote being the word, but don't under stand what you mean by in the making of white yorkies, do you mean in the USA & germany, as we don't have any here in the UK ...

Wow, never, ever has it been printed that Mr. Biewer was enhancing his "color lines" with other breeds. Even the BTCA who is the one trying to convience everyone that there is a new breed in the Biewers, have ever said it was Mr. Biewer. These breeders were awsome, they are so very proud of their Biewers and from what I seen have every right to be and I thank all of them who took the time with me. If we are going to produce these dogs we owe it to them and our potential puppy parents to find out everything we possibly can about them. They are a diamond in the rough and if we want them to thrive, we need to the the polishing and do it right. The Biewer is a learning process.

May i ask as to why such a high price is placed on purchasing a biewer.Why are they so costly.

I found in my research prices will vary... You will find that with any breed, there are greedy people out there that do NOT have the best interest of the dog or even the buyer in mind. As with any breed you must do your research and weed out the people with the hidden agendas.

This is a nice brindle/brown that meets the Hog Breed Standard as set forth in the Shodanusmc club. Great exercise, and nothing like take some fresh Hog Meat home to the little Yorkies!

Actually, we do not give the Yorkie any, but the big dog gets a taste. Best eating is at around 100 pounds. Anything over that is just too wild and gamey tasting. This guy was around 200 pounds and he has some real nice cutters around 4 inches.

I been admiring the parti since I first saw them, I been reading and researching the breed for a while now and seen Great variations in price and breeding ways.. so I feel that is going to take me a while longer to make up my mind.. LOL

Price variation yes but the extortionate price of a biewer is ridiculous so are these breeder's in it for the money honey this is the question also i have just bought 2 yorkie puppies with kc reg paper's for £600 for one and £550 for the other.

My husband is very involved with the training and care of our show dogs. He will groom and even in a pinch show our BRT's. He is also learning how to groom our Yorkie. Although he thinks his hands are too big for it.
Hubby does vet runs and will do research on pedigrees.

Frankly I have seen her site before and while I can appreciate her comments because it is not the standard does not mean she is right.

Frankly, it doesn't matter to me as if you dispute the parties then you have to dispute all AKC dogs...because none of them were DNA'd while the Parti's have been.

You state you have white GSD's and black GSD's... how did they come about.

I can't speak for those breeders "Honey" but my guess would be yes, just is the case with breeders of other breeds, like $6000. for a "teacup/pocket puppy" Yorkie. The Yorkie is an established breed and they do this to them just for the money. Breeders who realize the Biewer Terrier is a developing breed and not just a color, price their pups accordingly by judging them by the breed standard. Once again I do not speak for these breeders but I have purchased 2 biewers from 2 different BTCA members and this club is my preference.

Why not? So only American breeders destroyed off color dogs..I doubt that.
