My research shows that there were breeders who were trying to promote the white yorkshire in the early 1900's. Other references do indicate, over and over, that the maltese was more than likely used to improve the coats of the broken haired scotch terrier (who later became known as the yorkshire terrier)... I've found no proof or writings that say "other breeds" were used in making white yorkies, after they (the yorkshire terrier) actually became a breed. |
Hi I think you are spot on here to some extent, promote being the word, but don't under stand what you mean by in the making of white yorkies, do you mean in the USA & germany, as we don't have any here in the UK ...
