Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Thank you. We have had her since the end of December and none of us have gotten a rash nor itched. Except my son had something on his cheek which went away a week later. Not sure if that was it. I have been told and read that they cannot live on humans and though they can cause a miserable rash, it goes away on it's own on humans. ANd that it is not necessary to environmentally treat the house since the mites do not live there long without a host. We are quarantining Molly in her playpen and crate and only I touch her and where gloves when I do. I have washed all the bedding and vacuumed everything and mopped. But I think we are all ok. Just need to keep treating Molly and hopefully in a month or 2 this will be all behind us! I can't wait to hold her and lover her like normal again. We are all so sad and miss playing and holding her. She would normally be sitting on my lap as I type this. ![]() Quote:

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Lol! I itched a bit when I first heard. But then realized it was all in my head!! Evertime I have slight itch now, I start to freak and then I calm myself. hahaha So far we are fine. Knock on wood! But we were really holding and touching and kissing her before we knew and never got a thing. So I think we should be safe now. |

| ![]() My problem was I would hold Keisha to keep her from scratching herself to death. I got her on a Friday afternoon and the vet wasn't in until Monday, so I held her the whole weekend and it was summer so it was hot and humid. Mine didn't show up for a couple of weeks. I just thought I had gotten into some posion ivy or something. Until the rashes started moving around. The mites actually get under the first layer of skin and in the pores. There are alot of factors that effect each and every case and I don't think you are as extreme as our case was. I now will not ever buy a puppy unless I see its mom and dad and the conditions it lives is. These people had the puppy inside the house and told me the kennel the mom and dad was in was outback and with the rain the backyard was so muddy you couldn't get to it without sinking down into the mud. They had to put on their boots to get there. Yea, I was 26 and had never bought a puppy before. I now know better. We learn with experiences. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I actually did see the supposed mom and dad and was inside the house they said the puppies live in. It seemed clean enough to me. But I did not see the rooms where they got the dogs from. They even brought me some rice and chicken that they cook for them. I really sensed that that is where they lived. I never would have believed the puppies had such issues. I even took a picture of the supposed dad and I didn't like the moms haircut at all!! |

| ![]() I am so very sorry that you, your family and poor little Molly are going through this. I am praying that she gets through this quickly so she can once again feel your loving arms around her. It must be so very hard for you, not only worrying about your family but also not being able to hold, play and love Molly all over like you would like to. ![]() I will continue my prayers for a speedy "recovery" from this.

| ![]() FROM DIXIES MOM: " First of all you have to notify the breeder and give them a chance to make it right. If this fails contact the BBB, they can at times mediate between the parties, If that fails, contact the Attorney General they also will mediate between the two parties. If this fails, file in small claims court. All of this is done in the county of the breeder. If you follow these steps you will be able to show the courts you have tried in good faith several times, to resolve this." ......... This is very important to show you have made an effort in good faith, to resolve the issue with the breeder. THEN, if the breeder is uncooperative or unwilling to try to resolve the issue with you, proceed with your course of action. I do not believe it would be prudent, AT THIS TIME, to publically chastize the breeder, before you "give her enough rope to hang herself", so to speak. YOU try to resolve the issue with her, THEN if she does not cooperate, nail her. You do not want to give her the opportunity to come back on you with a "defamation of character" suit. I would think she would have some kind of recourse if you potentially "ruin her business and livelyhood" without "giving her a chance to make it right". I am playing devils advocate here....I feel horrible for you and this breeder should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() Small claims court would be my suggestion. Put everything in writing like you planned on doing. If you could afford to have a lawyer draft up a letter with your demands that would probably go a long way into convincing the breeder to do the right thing. Than again, maybe not! Seeing as how they sold you a very sick pup and probably knew it. Hopefully by moving forward with demanding compensation you will get some type of repayment for all of the medical bills you obtained by caring for this sick pup. Once you get things settled rather in or out of court than put them on Blast...I would do anything and everything I could to shut them down. Find others who have had problems with them and go to your local news. Call the BBB and I would certainly contact your local Humane Society.... I have a feeling that you have a long road/process ahead of you. It wont be easy I'm sure. But well worth it, if by doing so. These people are put out of business!! Even if you didn't get a dime, It would be worth it.

| ![]() She will most likely get her hair back. I had a lab that had that & he looked terrible......but months later he looked great. Have you contacted the ASPCA to turn them in. I would think about it if you haven't already. Hang in there ............you are a special person to do all you have for this baby. God will reward you for your love & compassion...........And she will give you so much love when she can...........
