| ![]() This asian couple had stores in Tarzana, Beverly Hills, and their house in Los Angeles as well as a Home in Little Rock/Apple Valley all fronts for this puppy mill and it is still operating they probably call it another name now as they got to keep the dogs only had to get rid of a certain number to stay legal |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I really don't know. It has no sound and I just can't see their faces well enough to tell. Is there any way to get their names? Quote:

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I sure hope she was correct in her diagnosis of sarcoptic mange since she gave her Ivermectin and plans to again. She does itch terrtibly with her hind legs at her ears (that is why I was mainly so concerned on top of the dandruff.) She does not appear to have much dandruff now if any. Just very thin hair up there, it also is gray so that makes it look even balder. I took her to a Holistic Vet today. He was not at all happy at her foot. It is now swolen (it was not prior to the splint and bandage), it now has necrotic tissue and sores. I am happy I went to him because he gave me a shampoo to safely bathe her in every 3 days, a natural antibiotic for her foot and also some liquid to rub onto her foot 3 times a day. I am afraid she would have ended up with a very bad infection if I did nothing as the VEt teacher vet said to do. I hadn't even noticed how swolen it had become since I am not holding like I used to. All of this just sooo sucks! But I honestly believe that if I didn't buy Molly, she would be dead by now. Quote:

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I think my description is just like what they say here at your link for Sarcoptic mange: Sarcoptic Mange is the less serious, yet highly Contagious, type of mange. Sarcoptic mange, aka "Scabies," has zoonotic potential, which means you can get it from your pet. Mange in humans is easier to get rid of. Also known as 'red fox mange' or 'wombat mange,' sarcoptic mange is much easier to cure than Demodectic mange because the sarcoptic mite doesn't burrow as deep into the skin of your pet. http://www.k911.biz/Petsafety/Mange_scarcoptic.jpg However, the mites do cause extreme itching, followed by flaky or scabby dandruff and loss of hair Quote:

We had just the regular skin mites I was telling you about and Pennie lost A LOT of hair. So Molly will probably lose more hair before this is all said and done. Here are pics of Pennie when I first got her and then after she was well again but had lost so much hair. I will have to take new pics, it is still like that, verrrrry slow growing back. Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Yes, all of this stinks. I will be happy when/if this is over. The ivermectin by the way she gave her was an oral dose. Not in the shot form. I hope it is as effective. I am thinking she should get at least 3 of them each 2 weeks apart if not 4 by what I have read on the drug and this mange. Quote:

![]() And then I got some help from a yorkie breeder who has helped tons of people with their little ones. I did everything she told me to and by the next day Pennie was obviously feeling better. We did liver juice and pedialite and some other things. Then we got the giardia diagnosis and got her on those meds and she is thriving at 5 months. Wow, I cannot believe she is already 5 months old! Last time I weighed her, a few weeks ago, she was 2.8 pounds so I am pretty sure she is 3 pounds by now. ![]() | |

| ![]() I am so sorry for your terrible experience with your new baby. I purchased a poodle that had the s. mange/mites. We had her treated and a couple of weeks later I started getting red itchy rashes on my arm and thigh. I went to the doctor and nothing came to mind until they asked if we had any new animals. Yeap, Keisha, I had to treat myself as if I had head lice. The doctor told me I didn't have to treat my hair that the mites wouldn't travel beyond my neck. I then had to sanitize everything. The carpets had to be professionaly cleaned with water that was a temp of 180 degrees. My daughter had not really held her that much because the night we brought Keisha home she itched, I was told it was dry skin and their vet checked her out and should be clearing up in a couple of days. When I seeked relief with the vet bills they only could give me another pup from a future litter. When I checked out the legal action I could take, I was told I could sue for the return of the purchase price but would have to return the dog. I could try to get the vet bills paid, but if they were over the purchase price, I would still have to return the dog. This was in TN and about 20 yrs ago. I did take the other pup with the intentions of selling her but kept her. Keisha lived to be 16 human years and the other girl Sheba lived to be 12 human years and brought much joy to us. I only paid $250.00 for Keisha back then . As I am typing this, I have started itching. That stuff is bad, and I hope you get the help you deserve with the bills. |
