| Still No Papers. Been waiting since we got our girl in October, still no papers. Asked and was told they were waiting for $$ for the pup (Our girl was a stud pup) and that they just got the $$ and would send papers out over weekend. This was about three weeks ago. Papers never came, asked again and was told the person mailing them put the wrong stamp on them and they came back but that they would mail them out on Monday. That was this past Monday. It's Friday, still no papers. Kind of getting aggrevated now. E. |

| Yep, it sounds like you are getting the good ole runaround. I wonder if AKC would let you know if the litter has been registered? |

| If the AKC is like the C(Canadian)KC, they have 6 months to provide you with the papers. Unless otherwise specified (after neutering etc.)

| I sent emails out to both the breeder and the person I had the contractual transaction with. I'll see what happens. I do not have anything as far as information to give to AKC. My girl was a stud fee puppy. AFTER I got my pup I was told not to be confused when the papers have another breeder's name on them, since she was a stud fee pup. The only info. I have is the person I transacted with and the person who my pup orginated from and I have the father's pedigree which had been emailed to me. Some research on the pedigree is giving me reason to think I may not get the papers. This is the first pup we bought and I was a little green with this transaction. E |

| If you can find out the registered name of the sire or dam then you can find their AKC number using online pedigree service on the AKC website. You should ask the people you got your pup from what your pup's parents registered names are. If they can't give you that information then you know they are lying. They should have provided you that information when you bought your pup. Just tell them you are going to order online pedigree's of the parents for your records. |

| Thank you BJH. I have the dad's pedigree. That had been mailed to me via email after I got my pup. I got a reply back from my email I sent this morning. I was kind of disappointed because up until now I have never complained or even asked how much longer for the papers, but it's been two months. Anyway, the reply I got back was she was going to pick up more pups tomorrow and would bring the papers back wtih her, if they were not already sent. Then (And this is what I was upset about) she said by law I have 120 days to prodcue papers. I'm sure that is correct but anyone I've spoken to that has gotten a pup has always received the papers right away or at least within a couple of weeks. I didn't think I was being unreasonable to NICELY ask about the papers after waiting two months. I paid quite a bit of money for her. More then what she should have cost but that was my choice, however I did not expect to have such an issue over getting her AKC papers which was part of the deal. Anyway, thanks and I'll keep everyone posted. E. |

| When I got both my girls I was handed their papers at the exact same time. When I bred Kalina, the puppy papers packet were sent to me with the sperm. I can't think of a reason why she wouldn't have the papers at the time she sold you the puppy unless there's something strange going on. I hope you get your papers soon!

We also didn't know at time of purchase that Brooke was being sold to us on Limited Registraton. I hate to admit it but we paid $2500 for her and you would think for that price she would have had full breeding rights. Not that we'd breed her, she's going to be small, but I do think that ALL of this should have been told to us or put in a contract. There was no sale contract. All I have is her shot records, weight history, and a statement from my credit card company showing what was paid for her and who it was paid to. Thank God we did put her on our Credit Card or there would have been no record of any of this. I guess we'll see what happens. Thanks again. | |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Wow! I hope things work out for you but yeah if daddy was sold with limited, the litter would not be able to be AKC registered. Can I ask who the breeder was? She is a very beautiful pup, tho, thats for sure. Were you planning to breed? My practice, as a breeder...is once my litter is whelped, I wait 1 week to make sure all pups are thriving and well and then I get my litter registered. I get them in the mail within one week of submitting the registration online. I always include the AKC papers in the puppy packet I hand out. Hopefully you get your papers! Quote:
