| I didn't think of that way. I will definitely be giving her special loving, and making sure that she eats. Thanks again for your help. If I could hug you, I would.

| You definitely hit the nail on the head with that one. They are my first priority right now.

| If and when there is a next time around......you made a statement that you went down stairs and found her. Not sure where you had her and the pups. But the first 8 weeks after a whelp are crucial. Keep the pups in your beedroom, or at least close by, where you can monitor mom and pups.

| Sorry that Ellie had eclampsia, Blossom got it also, but the pups were older, Blossom bounced back fast and did great, but she was depressed for awhile.

| Well, I guess I will be adding to the list of things for my husband to do today. I will tell him to move them upstairs to the bedroom. I had them down stairs in their own room so that Ellie could have some peace and quite. Guess I need to move the others down there and have her there with me. Again, you guys are awesome!

| I am so ready to get home and see all my babies. My husband told me that I am calling home too much. I need to give him a break, but I am so anxious.

| I am so confused. Here's what my vet said: 1. Checked her calicum levels which are fine now - the IV helped last night. 2. Go home and let her empty out the milk that she has right now and then after 24 hours do not let her nurse any more. Decrease her food supply so that the milk will dry up. 3. Bottle feed the puppies and then once they have full tummies and don't want to nurse any more, she can be with them (with the onsie) so that she clean them and bond with them. 4. Do not give goats milk = water because it will cause scours, sent us home with some puppy replacement formula. 5. We can start the weaning process at 4 weeks old. 6. We are to continue with the calicum tablets and once they are gone they are going to put her on vitamins with extra iron. 7. Do not breed her again for at least 1 1/2 years. I need some help and advice on this one. Any is greatly appreciated.

I'd worry about letting her nurse.......The calcium pills I agree with. Per experience, pups can lap at 3 weeks. I usually let my pups do it whether they are nursing or not. Just to give mom a break.....maybe once a day.
