| It's a scam. These over payment scams are the most popular now and people are not getting what they pay for!! I am always leary of 3rd party if it involvs Western Union. You were smart to ask.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I emailed him back and told him only cash when they picked up the dog and haven't heard back. Thank you all! My friend came over this afternoon wanting me to email this man to sell her puppies. My Jazzy is the Dad of them. She had just moved and didn't have any internet connection. So I took the information and was trying to help. After the first email came in she was all ready to give the information and go with it until I asked her to wait and let me check it out here. I am so glad I did. She is having a rough time and then to get cheated would be terrible. She was disappointed because she really needs to find these pups a home.

| ~A few years ago I also got a very similiar email, said the puppy for his son's birthday. But each email he sent, had a different story for why he was purchasing a puppy. I finally came right out and asked if he was a puppymiller. Much to my surprise, he said "your right, sorry, i'm busted". In my opinion, if they use a middle man for pick-up and say they want to send extra money, its a SCAM. Glad you didn't let your friend do this. |

| I was almost scammed with this once.... These people from NYC contacted me ... we agreed that since i do not like to ship we could meet half way... many phone conversations and e-mails to this point ... then they sent me 2 money orders form USPS ... hubby works there... it got suspicious as instead of one money order with the amount we decided, the sent 2 money orders and about 400.00 overpayment. Of course i called them and they told me it was a mistake and i could just bring them the "left over cash"... or do a wire transfer since the puppy was not yet old enough to go home... Making a long story shorter.... the money orders were fakes, if i had cashed them , USPS would come back to me and demand money from ME !!!! we went to the police and they could do nothing... as soon they figured out we had found the M.O. to be fake they disconnect the cell phones... blah , blah , blah... i am blessed i did not loose my puppy and money !!!! I still get many phone calls from the relay service, and politely i would invite them to come to my home as i do it with anyone else... interesting ... they decline !!! whenever i am offered to be paid by certified check i decline... these are harder to verify ... Also the police advised us to never receive overpay , unless you are doing all the shipping... it makes no sense to send other people money to arrange shipping since you are the best person to do it ! It is a scam !!!! I even checked references with the NYC people... vet references and all... lies !!!! Be Careful !!! I still have the fake Money orders... my trophy !!!! USPS changed their money orders tracking system now and they are safer ... you can check them at any usps ... even with that i am suspicious !! XOXO

| Here's a scam for you. I was looking for another yorkie, checking the paper and saw an ad for 2 free to a good home, reply to email address. I did and didn't hear anything, sent another email and guess what? Since they had placed the ad, they had been transferred to another country and had to take the dogs (since they hadn't been able to place them before they left). They were stil free, I only had to pay shipping, which they were going to reimburse me for (with, I'm sure, fake money orders or cashiers checks). That was a new one on me - thought I'd share. |
